Oak Hill finally confirmed? Goodness. Took forever!

Also, there will be two girls games next year.

You think it was the ice storm last year that made them choose Hawaii?

2009-2010 will be a very very exciting year at Ironton High School. One of the biggest records in the United States may be broken this very year, with a good group of football players returning. With the teams that are coming on board with the ironton Classic, along with an ironton squad that returns some good basketball talent, this will be an exciting year.

Football boasts 6 home games against Nelsonville, Burg, Portsmouth, Russell, Chillicothe and Logan. Good gates and good exciting football. Along with short rides to Ashland, Jackson and Gallia Academy.

Can't wait to see Princeton and Oak Hill. Princeton has Jordan Sibert. He is a 6-4 SG (#18 rivals.com) who has committed to Ohio State as part of their #1 ranked class of 2010.

I hope it's true and that is a really good thing. Those boys were first class and it all started with their coach. Visiting Jo Lin Nursing Home in their "free time" was part of their trip agenda.

GO TIGERS!!!

Here is the classic web site, they are listed to play (subject to change).
That was a very classy thing they did last year going to the Nursing home.

Here is the article in the Ironton Tribune talking about their visit to the Nursing Home, very classy.

The whole group from Campbell Memorial was first class. Got to spend time with their entire staff on both days, as well as their fans. they had alot of great things to say about our fans and our coaching staff. It will be a pleasure to have them all back again this winter.

Man that is one impressive list of schools. Should be one heck of a classic. I could'nt make it last year but I'm sure I will this year. With a list of programs like this no sportsfan in the tri state should miss the talent that will be on hand. You just don't get to see players and programs going head to head in this area like this very often.
