Past games have proven how to beat Burg. Some coaches will win or lose playing man to man even though it is not the best defense against a certain team. Some coaches need to swallow their pride and do what is best for the team to win. Or at least do some scouting to see what will work.

What's scouting? I know that each game Jackson plays, they do not go over any scouting report of the team we play (at least JV and Freshmen do not). No do they do any film work!

Good job Ironmen! Rooting for you every game, but the Minford one.

Good Luck to the Pirates the rest of the way. Kids play hard and move their feet well on defense.

3rd quarter huge for the Ironmen. Spohn, Donaldson, and Speakman hit lots of big shots.

And felt Wheelersburg went away from Holden in 4th quarter.

Great game from both teams. Holden kid is the REAL deal.

Very good win for Jackson, I stand corrected on my prediction and will eat my crow!

It's not that I didn't think Jackson COULD win, I just didn't know if they could rebound with them.

Not sure what's going on in Wheelersburg land, but you have the odds on favorite to win the SOC now sitting at .500 with a road game at Oak Hill on Friday.. perhaps the coach should keep scheduling the West Union's of the world since that prepares them so well!

Who would you schedule?
Remember he gets most of his team 3-4 weeks after everyone else because of football

Oak Hill, Northwest and then Waverly at home. If they drop 2 of the next 3 with a home loss to Webster already in the books, it will be tough to win the SOC.

Do you really want me to list all of the schools you should have scheduled instead of one of the worst D3 teams in SE Ohio? If you want me to I will. But I think it goes without saying, they gain nothing from that game.

If Burg has ambitions of winning a District title, which I'm sure they do, why not try and schedule Fairland? I forgot, they were on the schedule but the head coach dropped them (this came directly from the AD's mouth). Why not schedule more D2/D3 schools that will challenge them? They are the premier school in Scioto County when it comes to athletes, why schedule down? Especially when your best player already has several D1 offers --- what are you afraid of? What is your goals for the year?
