congrats to Warren on the win.

Portsmouth overcame being down 10 in the 4th to send this to OT,and had a 5 point lead in over time, and just couldnt handle the pressure from warren.

I got to listen to the end of the game, I bet the man box was fired up when we tied it up and went to overtime.

Congrats to Warren.

Congratulations to the Warriors on the win........heartbreaker for the Trojans, but again Portsmouth fought from behind........our kids have shown a lot of HEART in battling from behind, unfortunately for them they came up just short at the end.

Telling stat........With Tre Underwood, Portsmouth is 6-3.........without Tre, the Trojans are 0-2.....losses to Ironton and Warren........WE NEED TRE BACK!!........I found out tonight that he could very well be back for the Jackson game next Friday.......

Having Tre in the game with Dion McKinley gives the Trojans a double digit rebounder along with Dion, and in addition he scores 13+ per game.

Portsmouth has now lost 3 SEOAL games by a total of 11 points........I still feel encouraged, though, that when we get our full lineup together that we can play consistently good basketball and be a real threat in the tourney.

Austin Cunningham and Grant Venham had outstanding games for the Warriors, while Tory Horne and Forrest Johnson carried Portsmouth offensively.......Tory is averaging just under 23 PPG, while Forrest is averaging about 17 PPG.......Dion McKinley had a nice game with 9 points and a bunch of rebounds.

This game marked the 7th game in 11 that Portsmouth has played in a game decided by 6 points or less........with a 4-3 record in those games.

All i can say is WOW what a awesome team effort tonight by the Warriors. After watching a 10 point lead evaporate quickly at the begining of the 4th, tying the game up with .2 sec left on the clock and to go down 6 in OT and coming back to get the victory shows how much heart and determination this team has. Short night of rest and onto Cadet country for the Warriors.

On a side note Warrior C C was that you that i saw in the horse and buggy going down Route 32 around 5:00 pm?? I hope it was as that might have meant that you got to enjoy this wonderful victory from the Warriors. Or were you still recovering from your trip to Cleveland last night as Phil Jackson found out that you are full of hot air and sent you packing as your stragety didn't work against the Cavaliers.                 Well i guess if Phil doesn't want you neither do the Warriors!!!

Whew....that's two OT wins AT portsmouth in a row...last year was a 67-66 barnburner.

Great job blue....hopefully the whole team is asleep for a while longer so theyll be rested against the Fort for tonight.

What an exciting game! Everyone definitely got their $$ worth....Concerned about 4th quarter meltdown, somewhat frustrating we lost our composure some and forced some things....you've got to hand it to Portsmouth, they put some serious pressure on us defensively, then hit some big shots down the stretch...how the Warriors pulled it together after being down 5-6 points in OT was amazing to watch, but tough on the ticker....the JV was superb once again, an team win to put away a much improved Trojan bunch since the first game....can't wait to go to Beverly, hopefully the kids are all in bed till noon and Cunningham is sleeping with an ice bag tied around his foot! You gotta love that kid, I think he was in more discomfort than anybody realizes and still played a whale of a game.....

warriorfrosh..i agree...between fivecoait playing hurt at i believe logan, grant playing with one eye against marietta, little johnny(who can now be referred to as Mr. Cunningham after that gutsy performance lastnight), and ellenwood playing wit a bum hand all year..i thiink that really shows how much heart and determination this team really has...im really proud of the boys for keeping their composure and fight back from 6 down in ot to pull out the W....anytime you can get a win on the road in a league matchup its a good thing...and i dont believe they even needed a police escort...i thought the jv played real well lastnight...i only seen a couple of shots that might have been a little rushed other than that they played hard and played solid the whole way...and it helped that the ribber was great!...now lets go to the fort and get another big win

... BIG ROAD "W" for Coach Maddox and the Warriors ... wow ... a road win anywhere is not a given, a road win vs a Portsmouth team that was/is playing very well with the addition of McKinley and Horne ... should be a big confidence builder for the Blue going into the remaining SEOAL schedule - not sure if it will be enough to over take an I'town squad that should be overflowing with the "c- stuf" coming from 23 down to beat Chilli at the Hat ... should be fun to watch the top teams beat on each other the rest of the way - Portsmouth, Chillicothe, Warren, Ironton ...

Pfloyd....

you gave us that Elite 8 curse

2 losses in a row

it was 2 very good games, and two heart breaking wins for the Trojans, but Im sure they will learn from it.

and as Dave said, we are hurting without Tre Underwood in there, but I would rather see him get healthy now,and not come back to soon.

I did not go to warren, but they have a very good team
