Not sure as to how the game was played..I didnt get to attend. I did get updates on the score and it seemed to be a pretty competitive game most of the way. VC led at the half 26-24...after 3, VC stretched the lead to 44-37 and pulled away in the 4th for a nice 16 point win at home. I also heard a player from Alex hurt his elbow. Not sure who or how bad...hopfully the young man is okay.

Dylan Guthrie had a career night scoring 31 points. I don't know how many boards he had, but in the last three games Dylan has been playing his best ball of the year without a doubt.

Best wishes to Mike Chapman, who suffered what looked to be a very serious elbow injury with just under a minute left in the first half. He and VC player went for a loose ball right in front of the scorers table/VC bench area and as soon as the ball went out of bounds, it was very apparent how serious the injury was judging by Comb's reaction that they needed a squad ASAP. Never met the young man, but have known his father for years and he's a first class guy.

Best of luck to Coach Gabriel and the Spartans through the tournament.

No, Athens did not play. Their game with Sheridan (Tuesday past) is seriously in doubt. Sheridan still has 3 league games to play and there appears no place to put it on the schedule that would benefit anybody.

I know Michael's dad very well, sorry to hear of the injury. We (ZT) suffered the same sort of deal with Haynes at the start of our season. Goodluck Michael and get healthy.

Michael has a dislocated elbow. He is a very tough kid and I know he wants to get back out there. Hopefully he can bounce back pretty quick. Good luck Michael!
