Logan Elm might be a little deeper than Waverly, but the Tigers are playing better than they did at the beginning of the season. But again, Logan Elm is also. Should be a good game, Martin for Waverly has to get good touches to score and Kretzer has to open up the outside for Martin inside. Good luck to both!

eagles73,
Kretzer lead Waverly against Chillicothe with 20. He hit one three pointer. The rest came from inside or at the line. Kretzer is able to knock down the 3 anywhere on the court but at 6'6" he is at his best inside the paint. I do agree that Martin must get his touches inside the paint. The offense goes through Martin and he should be much healthier by Friday. Waverly must do what they did against Chillicothe to win this game.

1. Limit turnovers
2. Contain Blake
3. Control the paint

Da Tigers are playing good ball right now and unlike the 1st game of the year, have figured out who they are.

I like your 3 keys to victory Tigers2010. Number one is most important of all, have to take care of the ball against solid defensive teams

Waverly must play 4 quarters of in your face man d, shut down the passing lanes NO back door cuts, cant slack off on weakside to help LE shoots to well from the wings, then pound it inside good things happen when you do that, lots of trips to the line and the ability to offensive rebounds, control the glass!!!
Waverly 47- LE 41

I agree tiger2010,
If Sammij can contain Blake, like he did with Michael Turner last week, (ave 19ppg but kept him to 7 points), & Jake plays like we know he can tigers will come away with the win. As mentioned this team is not the same team that played LE back in December, they really have developed into great mix of baskeballers that play for one & other, as a team, they are a credit to Travis & the coaching staff, & a credit to themselves.
GO TIGERS

Waverly guards must take care of the ball. Tigers by 5 in a really tough battle. Should be a great crowd. LE has great fan support and the Tigers will have much of pike county in the stands. Cant wait to see two really good teams face off at the Convo. Good luck Tigers.

I won't be surprised if Logan Elm wins a 43-29 type of game or if Wavelry pulls out a win.

I don't believe VC would've beat Warren more than 3 times out of 10....they could beat them no doubt.....but I'd pick Warren without too much thought. VC would play them close most of the time...and beat them some of the time.

Tigers will need to hit the free throws if they go to the line. They also need to drive the ball forward not backwards. If they have a consistent officiating crew, it will benefit both ball clubs. At the LE / VC game, refs let em play for 3 and clamped down on the 4th!

LE's disciplined style will be too much for Waverly. The Braves will once again frustrate the Tigers.

44-39 LE wins.

I think the tigers are to hungry to let this one get away from them.

^^I think that by the time you get to the Convo, that statement becomes true for just about every team.
