I think it's a good win for Meigs. No doubt about that.

Interesting though that even with VC on the schedule twice and that team at 32-1, meigs sos on their is a -6.

None of this matters, literally at all, on Saturday afternoon tho. Just fun to look at.

Yeah just to pass time, taking forever for Saturday to get here.

Holly Pond has a kid named Drew Jones, there is youtube videos of his highlights, he has already signed to play with a Lee University, had several other offers, but went to go to Lee to play with his older brother.

There is another boy on the team name Matt Cahoon, he is only 6'1 and put a windmill dunk down in todays game, He has State record of 6'7" in High Jump...He has signed for Track & Field for Samford.

They really were impressive, Drew had 28 points against us, and other kid named Griffin Morris had 18 and the Matt kid only had 11, but he spent a lot of time on bench in foul trouble and was what allowed us to get the win.

you cant go by max preps not all games are recorded, how can you rank teams when not all games are accounted for?? By the way Falcons by 15 no one has said too much about FU's defense which has been solid here lately. Going to be tough to guard that many weapons that FU has, Thompson and Price can also get to the rim and finish. The only thing I am worried about is playing at Logan we do not play very well down there. Woodside will have to read the defense if they double him leaving good shooters open outside. I watched a game the other day where they actually called a block with a player that tried to flop, so hopefully the officials recognize the difference between player control and a flop!!

That's why I said maX prep rankings dont matter, they're just fun to look at. Ton of good info on there though.

Late Night and too excited for the game and can't sleep.

Watched the FU and BC game again and kept track of tome numbers.

Fairfield Union
25 for 41 Field Goals 61%
9 for 18 3 point land 50%
4 for 6 Free Throws 67%

Shows they are a great shooting team and hit most there shots...Now the stats that is the eye opener.

Bloom Carroll
15 for 55 Field Goals 27%
3 for 24 Three Point Land 13% (2 of those were in 1st Period)
6 for 8 Free Throws 75%

So if Meigs can keep their shooting percentage up and drain the 3's like we usually do, then we can make it a ball game.

After Friday Nights games, anything is possible.

Chillicothe beat Jackson in the sectional final 69-29 and is hot at the right time whoever wins this game will have a tough draw at the convo. I think F.U gets the win by 10+, F.U vs Chilli would be a must see game ! Good luck to both teams and go cavs !

Nobody really WANTS chilli right now. They're battle tested and playing extremely well, but whoever wins today will be ready for them next Thursday.

Game was sort of odd. Fu was up early 8-4 but it felt like they were dominating. Them all the sudden Meigs got hot and went up 5. Meigs hit a couple 3s and they hit some tough mid range shots with a hand in the face. Then woodside got his 2nd foul and I think thats actually when fu started to figure out the zone more. 3rd quarter fu really hit their stride and went up 15. Didn't like how they went to the stall game in the 4th, but they got the job done and move on. Big time game next Thursday at the convo.

Congrats to Fairfield Union. Great ball movement on Offense and Good defense. Meigs hung in there more then what I thought with 3 of our starters only combining 7 points. and the other 2 scoring 38 and then our 6th man scoring 8. Bad 3rd period only scoring 5 points. I do feel that our #6 man should have seen the court more, he didn't see the court much the 2nd half. We just couldn't get one of our main scorer for the year any open shots in the corner.

Oh well, and I will say this as much as I hate too, those refs were horrible for both sides, and the one with a dang cocky arrogant laugh, sorry but I feel that was very unprofessional

Best of Luck to the Falcons.

Thought the officiating stunk both ways too. No argument there. Was very happy they didn't call the flops though. Some of the calls were super late.. which is always annoying.

Well......not the best game for Fairfield Union. As they say at Tourney time though, Survive and Advance. Give Meigs credit, their zone D gave us fits. Sort of thought it would as FU hasn't played against many teams that play that kind of D. Congrats Falcons, now on to the Convo.

Not the best from FU?

They averaged 59 points a game for the year and gave up the average 42
(They scored 62 and gave up 53)

Meigs struggled and shot 10 points under their average of 61 and gave up 4 points more then their average of 58.

I would say Meigs struggled more.
Our 2nd leading scorer that averaged 12 ppg. had ZERO
Our 3rd leading scorer that averaged 9 ppg. had THREE
Our 4th leading scorer that averaged 8 ppg. had FOUR

But would have to see the game stats.
