Who couldn't beat Chillicothe other than Jackson . This new coach will be gone very quickly. He can't even beat teams in this very horrible league. Other than warren, I never thought this league would be so bad

Congrats to Logan, I said they would probably be .500 or better this year. I still think that is possible. Tied for second in the league, they are moving on up. By the way they did make some free throw against Chilli. I think if you check they probably won it at the foul line.

Noreply stated that logan needs some height on the floor well hell they got 1 of the most atletic players in the league doing most of his sr year sitting on the bench. The Vermillion kid needs to be on the floor for Logan. I knows hes a little banged up but give me a break at 75% he better than what Helbers is putting on the floor and at the very least he is a team player. If Logan ran as many sets for him as they do the other post player I know that when he would get fouled at least he would make a few of his FT'S. Just another case of a player being wasted. Look at how much time the other players are getting on the bench. If ur not going to play them put them down a qtr or 2 at the JV level u are allowed 5 a night. You must play to get better cant get better setting on the bench.

Vermillion sounds a little more than banged up. Helber is probably playing him to where the problem doesn't get worst.

You can not turn the ball over 20 plus time and expect to win!

Guru, couldnt agree with you more. Even with a bad knee he is better than whats on the floor. I feel bad for Myers. He is having a nice year, but has little help.
Logangrad, Pfloyd, or Logan nation do me a favor....no no, no wait do us all a favor......put your spin on this season with your vast knowledge of basketball and tell us again why you thought Logan would get 14-15 and I think one of you even went 16 wins.....

I've seen they have done this multiple times, that absolutely cannot happen, especially when they most play mostly seniors

As an outsider; who has friends in the community, know the coaches well, and avid high school hoops fan, all of this talk of replacing coaches is bogus. It is trying to cure decapitation with a band-aid. Again, as an outsider, I have seen things and I have had conversations to the systemic problems plaguing Logan basketball. On more than one occasions I have seen the effect of the football culture on the state of Chieftain basketball. I had coached an OYB team for seven seasons, it included several young Chieftains. As we were to play in an OYB tournament hosted by Logan one May at the Katie Smith Gymnasium, as we entered the building, we looked off into the distance to see 70-100 Chieftains in shorts and helmets doing football workouts. Among them were the young chieftains that was "committed" to us. However, the pressure to play or start football early was greater than their commitment to us. Next, the youth groups are splintered and seems to be no cohesive direction or purpose. Many younger level coaches seem to be myopic, committed to winning, as opposed to individual development. And yes,I hear it, developing individually tends to foster prima-donnas. However, individuals who committed to developing their skills are also bettering themselves for the betterment of the team. Furthermore, replacing coaches only tend to hit the reset button, it's a temporary fix. I personally thought Coach Myers was great coach, but he was limited by the commitment and support of others around him. Face it, basketball will not improve until EVERYONE is committed, supportive, and enthusiastic about basketball, as much they are about football.

And they dedicate a small paragraph to the topic of a player who quit in the local newspaper, within the article about their game with Gallipolis. Who does that?
