However, Minford has beaten the teams that beat Valley. You're right, CRAZY SECTIONAL. It'll be interesting to see how it goes!

1. Ironton
2. Min
3. OH
4. Valley
5. Ches
6. Ports- beat burg
7.burg/cg coinflip
8. Burg/cg coin flip
9. West
10. Sp
11. Rh

Records dont matter. Head to head matchups do. Coal grove or burg dont have any marquee wins. Looking at common opponents burg is slightly better than cg.

The seeding for this sectional will be very hard to figure out and until the games this week are complete, it won't be completely clear. Minford should be Burg's biggest fans this week. Burg has Oak Hill at home on Friday and Valley at home on Saturday. If Burg pulls off a W in either of these, the SOC race as well as the seedings could change. Right now I see Oak Hill at 2 (2 wins over Valley), Valley at 3 (2 wins over Minford) and Minford and Chesapeake in the 4/5 game. The 6-11 seeds could be influenced by how these teams perform this weekend....

Minford's loss to Chesapeak may have cost them a top 3 seed. Valley has stumbled also down the stretch.

The 4/5 matchup again will be a brutal game and the 3/6 will also. This is such a tough sectional!

How many games has Valley lost? I have them down for 5, if that is the case, it will be interesting to see how they are voted on. If Minford wins friday vs. West and Valley wins as well do the voters give Valley the nod even with more L's because of the straight up head to head defeats? I say alot will depend on who wants to be where. However if Valley is to drop the game friday vs South Webster and Minford defeats west, making the loss column difference -2 I would say the nod would have to go to Minford despite the two head to head losses to the Indians. Thoughts? 2-9 IMO provides not a whole lot of seperation, and it would not surprise me in the least to find a 6 or 7 seed at the Convo. Ironton appears to be on a whole other level which will prevent me from saying it could happen for a 8 or 9, but with if Barrick is at one of those seeds, then don't bet the house on it not happening. Not really a news flash when I claimed it over a week ago. Don't be shocked if Norm gets Chesapeake in at a 3 and bumps Portsmouth to 6 so he doesn't have to play the Trojans and plays the winner of south point and coal grove.

That's pretty interesting, coal grove beats west at their place, has a much better record and gets seeded below them. Wonder how that happened.

Hornet boys, use that blatant disrespect as motivation for a playoff run!

It was supposed to be but somebody didn't live up to their word.

Oh the good 'ole SOC strikes deals.

But Dinocrocetti and I both said that it would be Portsmouth and Wheelersburg in the 8/9...
