Wow. Tough senior night for the Ironmen. Hopefully they keep fighting hard.

They already have it? I thought this was the last home game.

88-36 late in the 4th

Good game by junior Jordan Helman coming off the bench for 11 points and 9 rebound. Freshman Jake Crabtree scored 6 in the 4th.

How can a program be so bad? Don't know if there has ever been a worse team in the history of the SEOAL.

They just aren't great basketball players. They play hard and hustle. I tip my hat to those kids that have stuck with it.

Jr high is good.....they'll have a run for a 5 year period here in about 3 years.

1 SEOAL title in the last 35+ years. Kids in Jackson don't start practicing in droves 6-8 hours a week in 3rd grade....in fact it's a stuggle to find 10 kids to practice basketball a couple hours a week at that age.

I really feel for the Jackson players and Coach Kight. They played hard but were just severely overmatched from the tip.

Unioto improves to 13-8 and travels to Westfall Friday.

I'm sure it has been a frustrating season for everyone involved, but you do have to give credit to those kids for sticking it out. The staff and players have been working hard. Hopefully they can start to get things turned around next season.

The boys basketball program was doomed when the school board made the decision not to go out and hire the best possible coach for the program. Now the talent at the younger ages will transfer prior to entering their freshmen year. Just wait and see what happens.
