Ether leave room in your schedule for it (which you must play the required number of games) or just not be eligible to earn the championship in that particular sport.

WV teams in OVAC 5A are also members of TRAC, which does have mandatory scheduling requirements.
meadowbrook (4a) was 17 -3 and in fourth place at the cutoff, but was ineligible because they didn't play enough conference games

You can add Parkersburg to that list of OVAC schools.
Parkersburg is currently getting out of the MSAC, and will be a OVAC-TRAC member in either the Fall of 2015 or 2016.

Points for OVAC Ratings is based on each class, just like in the Ohio or WV football Ratings.
You get points for playing non OVAC games, but no OVAC bonus points from those games

50 schools broken into 5 Division with 10 schools in each based on total student enrollment I believe in 9-12.

No reason to join a league if you are not going to schedule OVAC games to compete for title.

Yeah, and it seems to me like scheduling could be very difficult for Warren.

Warren has two losses this year, Wheeling Park and Meadowbrook both OVAC members. Many other top programs in all sports ,boys and girls. Seems clear that the Warriors are running to the competition and not away from it. Go Blue!

Meadowbrooks primary league is the ECOL. Zanesville used to have some sports compete in the OVAC.

Couldn't Marietta be in both the OVAC and ECOL. I don't think there's any prohibiting from being in both if you can schedule appropriately.

I just checked the OVAC website which lists the member schools.......and Vincent Warren is listed as a 5A school, in the same classification as Parkersburg South, Cambridge, Steubenville, Brooke(WV), Indian Creek, Morgantown(WV), John Marshall(WV), and Wheeling Park(WV).

The ECOL has also accepted them, if they opt to apply...
