Heard that as well. That makes that game VERY interesting. DeSales Holiday tournament should bring some interesting matchups; not sure who the Chiefs play at this point; nice schedule imo.

He lives way below Chillicothe closer to Bainbridge,so if he doesn't plan on relocating he will be driving 60 miles one way on 180.Might be a little closer to take RTE. 50, but that drive is even harder then 180. At 70 years old this will be a challenge, but it will help that he is not teaching here.

Coach is 62 years young and looks/acts like 50. He has a place in Logan and will be in the school most days. Glad people are concerned with his drive. Lets just hope ppl wish this person luck on doing something that he enjoys to do and that is coach..

Good to hear he got a place up here.Sorry about the age discrepancy.I read where he was an assistant coach at Miami Trace when Art Schlichter was there, bet he would have some good stories about that.

He was an assistant on that Miami Trace team with Art that went to the State tournament and lost to John Paxton's team. JP went on to play for the Bulls and won an NBA championship with Jordan. And yea, he told us a few of those good ole stories when I was at Chilly.

Saw where the coach is taking control of the youth programs,he also said they will start going north instead of south for games to get better comp,I like his way of thinking already, but he said people have already cried around about it, hum wonder who that could be ?

Why should they complain! Our new coach has won a State Championship! Let him take control and watch he will produce a winner!

This coach won a championship with players that could have made any coach look good..........not taking anything away from the guy.

I do like what he is wanting to do.

Noreply, were you at the state tournament in 08? Number 1 Poland Seminary was 25-0 and scoring in the 90's every game. The Cavs Half court pressure D suffocated them in the first half. And no one believed the Cavs would beat Toledo Libbey who featured Mr. Ohio Basketball William Bufford who went on to play for the Buckeyes in the State finals.. Well, maybe you did. Lol. After the season was over Coach Thad Matta came to the Chiilicothe Banquet to speak & watch the RINGS handed out to the players and coaches. He said, "you weren't favored, and no one thought that you would win that game!" This Coach has a vision to lead young men and create greatness, but can the Logan People get behind their program..? I'm not so sure after reading these 10 pages.....

If Logan wants a winner in Basketball Coach K will develop the talent and look for some fun times in the winters!
