Most OVC schools I remember ever seeing going to the convo at 1 time.
Then if Symmes Valley can win this Wednesday, it will make it 5 of 8 Lawrence County teams going to the Convo.

nothing would make me happier than to see an OVC sweep. Don't think it will happen..but we can always wish.
I hear these folks on here talk about how tuff of a schedule the SOC plays and I look at their schedule and it don't hold a lot of water. They need to play some teams from the Southwest in the Dayton area. Then they can get a better picture of what they have. When I watch games in the Southeast it's like their playing in slow motion. You have to watch good teams play to know one. Ironton's team last year was the best to come out of the southeast in years. Wish everybody good luck this weekend and hope your school wins.

I cant speak for the others, but I know Valley played both Athens and Warren, and SVC champ Unioto (All D2 teams), so I was happy with the schedule they have played.

Picks:

Fairland
Burg
Valley
South Point

Burg vs Fairland - Fairland
Valley vs South Point - Valley

Fairland vs Valley - Valley

Good Luck to all teams this weekend!

I am just happy that the Convo and nice people at Ohio University were so nice to hold the OVC tournamant. Five of the eight teams are now a member of the OVC. I look for Fairland, Chesapeake, Valley, and Portsmouth to win.

Is the OVC getting a cut of the gate from Sunday's games? :-)

The districts are where the rubber meets the road so this weekend will tell if Lawrence or Scioto county plays better ball. I think Valley is the best team on their side of the bracket. The other side of the bracket is up for grabs in my opinion. The team that gets hot will win that district because none of the records look all that impressive. I'd love to see the SOC teams get to the regionals. Maybe it'll be Hartley vs. Burg the basketball version.
Go Burg!

The sleeper in that top bracket is Southeastern. They are 18-4 and are playing their best basketball of the year right now. They have beaten Circleville, Zane Trace, and Eastern Brown all within the last month. They have the experience of the Convo making this 3 years in a row. Coach Cox has been to the Regionals as a coach and Gary Kellough won the state with Chillicothe a few years back. This group is the quietest 18-4 team in Ohio right now. They don't even get any love from pfloyd! Lol They aren't flashy, but they are playing solid basketball at the right time.
