Athens has a good TEAM and will only get better as the season rolls along. You need a TEAM to win in the tournament - and against some of the big boys Athens will be playing this season.

They will get that figured out soon. I wouldn't be surprised if you start seeing 4 players in double figures more often than not going forward.

These refs are a joke. I never hate on refs. Burrow has 4 cheap fouls

They were bad both ways ... And burrow earned atleast 3 of those fouls legit.

They probably are now. Webster is way down and I don't see a standout in SOC I.

Yes a good win for the Pointers. Coach has been tweeking the line up according to what we need defensively. He has used at least 3 or 4 different starting lineups this year. The first game against Lewis County the Pointers seemed off. One kid who started last night didn't play much in the first game. The last two games he has really made huge improvements. I think he hadn't played much organized ball until this year. We have some very tall boys and some great speed so I see this as SP's best team since the Mayo days.

Potentially. I would like to see them against Fairfield first though and I'm not really sure what teams further East bring to the table(Reedsville Eastern, South Gallia, etc). I watched Racine Southern a couple weeks ago against Manchester and they looked capable of being a factor at the district level.

I have to agree that Racine Southern has looked the best D4 team i've seen so far. With Peebles, North Adams & Paint Valley coming into Valley Sectional, Webster & Green are being shipped over to the Miegs Sectional. Not sure how far my Jeeps can go this year. But Go Jeeps!
