First off congrats Waverly on win you won fair and square

Second off football legs or not we flat out didn’t show up to play i said it before i say it again our coach don’t have a clue. Waverly shoots free throws like 1st grade girls team and we can’t beat em. Even besides that our kids weren’t ready to play we came to play 4th quarter that’s it before that we flat out weren’t ready to play

holden should of been our coach years ago but we’re stuck with this ater guy who takes best athletes in county and can’t wjn games we should win it’s a joke

Waverly had their best free throw night this season. It was just enough to win but must continue to improve.

Tigers were 12-16 from the line in the first half, including Remington’s 5-6.
Tigers were 7-15 from the line in the second half including 6-11 in the 4th.
For the game that was 19-31, much better then previous games but not yet where they need to be. It was just enough to get the win tonight.
Cody Remington with a monster first half scoring 13 of his 15. Dude is everywhere playing great D, getting steals and rebounds.
Clayton Howell with a great 2nd half hitting 14 of his game high 17, nailing 4 threes in the second half, 3 in the 4th quarter. He was also 2-2 from the line in the last minutes.
Ethan Adrian doing his work inside with 7 and 6 for a total of 13 points.
Cobe Marquez with 8, Easton Wolfe 6, Jake Reed 5, Ethan Dunn 3.

Wheelersburg lead by Holden’s 16
Pruitt 15 (kid can play)
Lowery 13
Mullins 8
Dyer 6
Darnell 3
J Salyers 2

Truitt was a great pickup for the pirates. Without him they’d be hurting on offense.

I agree, without him they really have no one else after Holden.

Lowery is pretty solid. Had 25 in first game. Salyers will help when he returns. Burg will be ok, it’s their second game.

That Pruitt boy has such a soft touch. He can hit from anywhere on the court. Honestly he’s the one that scared me more than Holden tonight.

Holden is not a scorer with the jumper. He’s a dribble drive player. If the other players for burg arent scoring, help defense on Holden is available which makes him essentially ineffective. This is why people think he’s a better D1 football prospect. Salyers threat from deep will open these guys up more. Burg will be a lot stronger when he returns

Waverly's play is improving as their health improves. Looking forward to the next games to see if they continue to make progress. This Friday at home vs Minford should be another good contest.

Nice win vs a good Burg team.

Not a bad result for the Burg here. They’re only going to get a lot better
