I think he's talking about a situation that occurred. Eastern, was shooting 1 for the bonus and they missed. The valley player, thought it was a double bonus but through the ball to the ref out of bounds. They gave the ball to eastern. Which is the correct call.

Maybe exciting because of it being close and maybe you had to be there but I caught the 2nd half of this game on VSN and it was anything but exciting. Eastern holding the ball for way too long against the 2-3 zone I'm guessing Valley was in because of a key player or 2 in foul trouble. Eastern held the ball for over a minute on more than one possession in the 4th. I guess they had a slight lead and was playing not to loose. Very boing basketball watching pass after pass on the perimeter with very few attempts to attack the zone. Perfect example of why high school needs a shot clock.

Obviously the official did not clearly state the one and one. Every player stood there waiting for the other shot. Officials are there to manage and apply rules. That was poor management and it for sure could of cost valley the game as the above poster said a jump ball had to be called and eastern received the ball for another possession. Credit valley for playing tough d on eastern to win on that possession.

The Alexander Spartans defense is playing really good right now. The offense still needs some work. They miss a ton of shots, but make up for it with good defense and rebounding. They are really deep playing 10 kids without dropping in performance. They are getting into a little better shape.

Big test Friday @ Vinton County.

Go Alex.

Why? Because you need more entertainment?

No. Just not my idea of exciting watching pass after pass on the perimeter with nobody attempting to make a move toward the basket. If everyone thinks this is exciting basketball why do college and the NBA have shot clocks?
