Final

Jackson 49
North Adams 38

Wallis 17
Bragg 10
Winters 7
Hammond 6
Donaldson 5
Brown 4

Hesler led North Adams with around 15. McKormick around 10.

North Adams is now 0-2 but I believe their style and continued improvement throughout season will make them a tough out. A good defensive team with good size on the court. Hesler a quick guard with a nice lefty 3 shot.

Jackson was eager to get going and offensively weren’t at the level they wanted but ball moved well and played very good defense. I’m not sure North Adams got a shot off the first few minutes of the game. Donaldson was huge on the boards and played a great game despite foul trouble. Hammond, Winters and Bragg has to do most of the bangin underneath with the big post player McKormick. Kid very strong and more active than anticipated. I thought he played well. Bragg had the soft shot going, Brown and Hammond with big moments in the crucial 4th quarter. Caleb Wallis was the best player on the floor and his quickness is hard to gauge until he blows by you a few times when you think he isn’t going to.

Jackson 1-0 and travels to Miami Trace on Friday

I thought Jackson played good enough, but definitely not to their potential given it was opening night. Wallis did what he always does best and handled it and blew by people. Going to be a pain down the stretch when teams double him and make him give it up.. not sure we have anyone just yet who is comfortable handling a half court trap.
