Top 5 all time?
I think Tanner Holden is between Burleson and Spradlin.

Did Joe Rase not eclipse the 1,000 point mark? Joe was a very good player in the 70’s. If I am not mistaken, he still holds the single game record for scoring at Wheelersburg.

Agree
If they would have played with a three point line staker and walke would be way up that list
Staker would be at the top of my list

Having watched, played, & coached versus many of Burg’s greats dating back to late 1970s as Piketon vs Burg has been Tournament clashes many times ranging from Sectionals at old Portsmouth HS to Districts-Regionals at The Convo, my toss-up top 2 are Todd Staker & Tanner Holden.
When checking the Piketon Tournament archives, the Streaks have played Burg 8 times in OHSAA Tournaments, ranking as the most frequent Piketon Tournament opponent. In the 5 year stretch 1979-80 thru 1983-84, Burg defeated Piketon in the Sectional Finals at old Portsmouth HS 3 times.

Here Comes the Streaks!

I have never posted on this site before, but I thought I would update the numbers for Andy Stegman. Andy finished with 1380 points.

Joe Rase did hold the record with 45 I believe. Holden eclipsed the 50 plateau twice in his Senior year to break that record, with an asterisk because of the three point shot.

My top 5 would be

Holden
Burleson
Staker
Walke
M. Eaton

I agree what a lineup with plenty of greats to come off the bench. How about Rase and Brian Bayes under Mike Hughes ? So many great players.

What about Scott and Brian Grey? Or Joe and Dennis DeCamp? Jack Miller,Bob Shaw and Paul Newman. We could go on for days naming players.

Craig Brown and Don Brown were underrated players on the early/mid 80's teams. Both had decent outside shots.Seems there was a Pyles?Cant remember the first name on Mr.Hughes teams mid 70's? A little young at that time to really remember.Maybe some older Pirate fans remember him?
