I like that Western team. Good pressure defense and offensively guards can get into the lane, obviously very well coached.

Valley is the better team though.

Miller was a stud at Eastern Pike when I was student teaching with Jeff Stricklett who was EP’s coach.

I taught at Eastwrn Pike one year in 1992 or 1993. Doug Williams was a sixth grader and he was phenomenal. So skilled for that age. You could tell then he was going to be great. This is year two at western for him and he is building a strong program. Talented eighth grade group coming up next year that should be really good in a few years. Future is bright!

That is correct. It is his second year at Western. They have a record of 12-10 this year. They were somewhere around .500 last year as well.

Jace Copley had a strong night for Valley pouring in 22 points along with 7 boards, and 2 assists, I even think he checked the block column, pretty active night for the talented freshman. Ty Perkins had a great night too with 21, 6 assists, and three boards. Valley was also a red hot 50% from the three. If Valley can keep up the momentum I see a dandy of a ball game developing vs New Boston. Valley also had 20 dimes, that’s pretty solid team basketball.

An assist. Most times a really nice/fancy pass is referred to as a “dime”
