1st quartet was 18-18
2nd quarter West won convincingly
West won the rest of the quarters

Wellston had a good player sprain his ankle

Wellston has a couple guys that shoot well. But West was more athletic and way deeper.
Any word on the West at Rock Hill scrimmage? How’d each team look?
Pretty even scrimmage. Lower scoring defensive basketball. RH is a decent team. They play hard.

West really didn’t play well. Probably good for them to face a team that plays aggressive and physical.

Ashland has that porter kid and he’s a absolute stud. I believe they were undefeated last year or year before, something like 33-0 before covid messed it up.

Minford with a nice showing at Zane trace tonight. Beat Zane trace in 3 out of 4 quarters and won the first 12-minute quarter 32-11. Great mix of young and old on the court. JV falcons also show a lot of promise. Zane Trace has a ton of athletes and size. Both teams should have good years. Great scrimmage with both team really competing.

West looked good in their scrimmage against Gallipolis tonight. West won most of the quarters including the first one handily. Really impressed how well West defended Clary and Loveday

Minford looked great and I was expecting more from Zane Trace.

Not surprised. It isn’t like adding one player to a team that was well under .500 last year was going to make them unbeatable. Zane Trace will win the SVC, but that’s the extent for them this season

Zt’s best player didn’t play in that scrimmage. This Zane Trace team will play for a district championship you heard it here.

I hope you’re right. It would be good for the SVC and if there is a coach who can get them there, it is Coach K

Got to see the Waverly Tigers at Paint Valley tonight.
Waverly started out with TR, WaF, WiF, MS & HK and jumped out to a 14-3 lead. PM and BR in at the 4:26 and Tigers built on that lead to 24-6. Waverly took the first 27-12

Alt of subbing in the 2nd - Waverly took it 22-15

Same for the 3rd - Waverly took it 18-8

They played another 2 quarters I believe with Waverly winning them as well.

Starting 5 of Trey Robertson, Mark Stulley, Will Futhey, Wade Futhey & Hudson Kelly are excellent with Penn Morrison, Braylon Robertson and Drake Teeters coming in off the bench.
Tiger defense is relentless applying constant pressure and the transition offense is fast.
