Waverly at Oak Hill Tuesday 02/08

Post by smurray »

Waverly travels to Oak Hill tomorrow night in an attempt to take one step closer to an outright SOC Championship.
The Tigers are coming off a loss at the hands of undefeated 18-0 Colonel Crawford (State Ranked #1) on Sunday and quite frankly just need to forget about that one for the moment and FOCUS solely on the Oaks.
Colonel Crawford can be a learning experience for the tournament but for now the Tigers goal must be the Oak Hill Oaks and yeh SOC2 Championship.
Just because the Tigers handled the Oak easily at home doesn’t mean they are going to lay down and take a whipping. Waverly must show up and play ball which I believe they will.

I wonder if Travis will turn Trey loose to shoot for a single game scoring record one of these last games before the tourney. I believe his career high is 36 or 38 possibly. He's truly an unselfish player.

Trey isn’t that kind of player. He could do that most games but chooses to involve everybody.

HALFTIME
Waverly 35
Oak Hill 15

Waverly was able to sub quite a bit in that 2nd quarter.
Robertson with the last 7 points of the half - a three with .02 to go.
