Dog that is my grandson and he had 23. Transfered in from St Joe when they hired Barnes. Matt is a fine young man and has already been accepted as a student st OU. He hopes to go into ROTC.

I did not know that ,the kid is a baller congratulations to him
Matt wanted me to thank you for the compliment.

I heard Matt even beat his old mailman shooting FT's a time or two ;) ;)
His old mailman wasn't a bad baller in his day. Once a Flyer.

SP @ Fairland is worth the watch. Porter in & out multiple times in the OTs with an injury. Clearly wasn’t himself but tried to gut it out. Great win for SP.

Congratulations to Ironton on the 1 point win over the Trojans......VERY PROUD of the way our Portsmouth kids battled back from a 55-45 4th quarter deficit to take a 64-62 lead. Feel a lot better about these Trojans now than a month earlier.....have lost 5 OVC games at home by 1, 3, 5, 6, and 8 in 2OT. Winning OVC record on the road. I have a lot of confidence that PHS can win a sectional title if they can keep playing at the level they have shown this week beating Gallia Academy and losing by 1 to Ironton.

Ironton has a very good team and Sheridan is a really nice PG who can score, but the Fighting Tigers have at least 6-7 kids who can score in multiple ways.

What's encouraging for next season is that sophomores Devin Lattimore, DeAndre Berry and LeVaughn Cobb combined for 27 points vs. Ironton, while juniors Kenny Sanderlin had 11 and Tyler Duncan had 9. 47 points from players who will return next season.

Side note: South point played without their leading scorer Caleb Synder who fouled out in regulation play with 21 points. Aiden Porter did not miss all the 2 OT..

Dave Ironton won't be bad either as 4 starters return along with Carpenter who has been sitting out recuperating from a broken ankle. Their 6th man Barnes return along with the Barnes kid who lit up the JV game with 30+ points. Should be another good Portsmouth Ironton game next year.
