5 of the top 15 are DIV.

Love it!

3 of them are on the "easy side" of the bracket as some like to claim.

Not too bad!

Most teams have proven worthy of being able to win a game or two in the upcoming tournament

Matchups, execution and coaching will be the decider

If you told me at the beginning of the year Warren be in the elite 8 come season end I might've had a hard time believing you. 4 new starters and line-up changes including coach Maddox starting a freshman for the first time ever in his 23 years here and I would've thought this was a rebuilding year. The team has come together and coach Maddox has molded this group into what they've become, I would argue it may be his best "coaching" job since he's been here.

No one maintains excellence AND develops AND coaches like Maddox

Combs fits nicely in this mold as well

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't looking ahead to that matchup already...

If you told me The Peake would be 12-8 I would have been skeptical. No starter over 6 0' and beat teams we have. Great group of young kids, scrappy and well mannered. Levi Blankenship a scorer, rebounder and team leader. He will be missed next year. Love to watch these kids play.

SP is 14-8 No excuses against Jackson but the pointers were hurt when they had 3 JV players in during several stretches of this game Also without their 6'4 player who didn't dress and one player with a rolled ankle who wasn't 100% SP was hurt down low .That wouldn't have happened if pointers were 100% SP in my opinion is double digit better than Jackson.... Doesnt matter it is what it is... plus there was another player hurt not nearly 100% who played hurt.......That's why the mainly freshman team played JV game.. They needed top JV players to have minutes in Varsity game..

Our #1 ball handler, scorer and defender Tristan Prater was injured 2 games ago and we played without him….and the pressure was tough on Jackson without him, but battled through. Also the kid that played 8 min and had 6 points, 3 rb and 3 assists is one of the most talented returning players in the SE district…was runner up player of year in FAC last year and an all-district player. He can only play a few minutes a game and has sat out the entire season due to his condition. Our other 3 year varsity player Evan Spires who has started the last two years and one of our go to ball handlers and rebounders was injured during football and can’t play his senior season.

Just giving our side of it.
