Facts. I wouldn’t be surprised to see these 2 teams co-champs next few years
Myles Montgomery and company will have something to say about that!

Agree. Minford will be young, but talented. Some good ball in the SOC2 coming.

I love watching Myles play and he’s only going to get nastier, but whose gonna fill the other Zimmermans shoes?

What’s the boys name on the 8th grade team that’s really good? Didn’t watch them this year but last year as a 7th grader he dropped like 35 on us

Agree with this this. I didn't think there were any cheap fouls by either side. The calls that were made followed pretty substantial contact.

Minford had a good jv team as well right? Shoemaker, Downey, others. Add in Caudill, talent is there.

Same with Valley…

Buckle, Copley, Arnett, Nickle and then the 6’7” big man (Stewart) Losing 1 senior basically(B. stuart) and the cupboard will stay stocked as the 7th and 8th grade were tournament champions.

I think I get the point you're trying to make, but this is simply false. A foul is a subjective judgment call. I watched the Wheelersburg/Minford game 5 hours before I watched the Valley/Webster game. Two completely different worlds. One was an all-out physical war with about 20 total fouls called. The other was a much less physical game with about 50 fouls called. I don't know which is right or wrong, and I'm not even saying I think Webster wins if the officials let them play. But anyone who says "a foul is a foul" hasn't seen more than one basketball game because there certainly is a difference between a tightly called game and a loosely called game. And from a spectator's perspective, I would rather see a more physical game allowed and see the best players remain on the floor.

I’ve seen plenty of basketball. Trust me. A reach, is a violation, a foul. I saw what I saw. I get what you are saying about different types of games. Good solid d without reaching and all that. But reaching, grabbing, bumping, moving the offensive player off their path are fouls. Bottom line is players have to adjust to what is being called. Webster didn’t.

Gotta have a better plan next year.

Horrible to play all divisions same night

Wellston parking sucks

OHSAA made a killing today. Did I hide and play it cool and only buy one ticket… yes.

Watching 4 games at the convo for $10 is dead and gone

It wasn't from 1:00pm-2:30pm today at Waverly between Burg and Minford. Maybe I drove through some kind of wormhole on State Route 139 heading to Wellston and entered a dimension where "a foul isn't a foul"? Or maybe a foul is simply a subjective judgment call and the 3 refs at Wellston called a tighter game than the 3 refs at Waverly. The later seems more likely...
Again, I'm not saying there is a right way or a wrong way to call a game. I'm just saying what is a foul in one game might not be a foul in the next. Bumping, grabbing, reaching etc. are often not fouls.

Ok. Guess we should just drop refs and call our own. Moving on.

He's a good one. He loves to stir the pot.haha! His humor is great. Some people just can't take a ribbing. He will be right there for all the local teams from here on. Enjoy Swank!!!
