Realize there's a huge difference between Ohio and WV when it comes to the big school division but I really expected Morgantown to put up a better fight. 20 points!?

Dover has a great coach. Would have loved to see the strategy of that game unfold.

I was at this game. Morgantown sit back in a 2-3 zone and Dover just played in patient and worked the ball around until they got the shot they wanted. If I recall Morgantown scored the first 4 points and that was the only time it was more than a 1 possession game until late 4th quarter. Dover hit a couple threes on back to back possessions and that was the difference. Morgantown just refused to come out of the zone and Dover was content just playing it patient. Kudos to Dover though, not many teams could have played it patient like that without turning the ball over a lot.

Thanks for the rundown. Having the lead with the ball is a much more powerful position without the shot clock.

I speculating here a little bit because I haven’t seen Morgantown play outside of the OVAC championship game. But it felt to me like Morgantown’s strategy to play the zone was good for them on the defensive end, but ultimately hurt them on the offensive end because the zone caused a slow pace. I think Morgantown offensively needed to the game to be faster pace, but I don’t think they felt they could guard Dover man to man.
