Looks like D3 stays mostly the same with an addition of Jackson.

Chesapeake teetering right on the D5-D6 border. CB number of 2 all that’s keeping them in D5.

From what I've read, D3 East/Southeast will get 2 regional representatives out to the regionals this year as opposed to the one last season.

-- If there will be two district champions coming out of this group, who has the best chances? Based in part on what people have seen this summer, and what teams have coming back, who are the favorites? I see Jackson, Chillicothe, Marietta, New Philadelphia and Steubenville among the early front-runners (I don't know enough about Zanesville and Dover yet). Comments?

New Philly has a lot back. Might have them No. 1. Marietta lost a few players to graduation but no coaching staff is better at player development, so maybe the Tigers if they improve. No size an issue? Chillicothe has some good talent back and I wouldn’t count Warren out. Too early to know for sure.

I would rank D3 East: 1) Steubenville, 2) New Philadelphia, 3) Tri-Valley, 4) Dover, 5) Zanesville
