Trying to figure out if Peebles was that stellar or if North Adams just payed discombobulated.

Peebles sophomores and Jrs worked really hard this summer and are fitting in well with the Senior. Peebles is very young and the 2 freshmen tonight ,are our biggest players. I believe by Tourny time they will be a big difference.

Hoopie74! your Indians looked really really good last night! deep team, lots of shooters that CAN SHOOT the rock well ... 8/11 from downtown vs NA last night ... everyone looked comfortable out there! ... lots of talent on the Peebles squad for Coach Arey ... they all look the part of bb players too - handle the ball well, shoot it well, length, quick hands on D ... definitely a team to keep an eye on this winter - imo much improved over last years team ...

In my opinion, Peebles always shoots really good at home. But can their shooting travel? Last year they filled it up at home but on the road they’d struggle at times to score. They were impressive at the preview. But now it’s time for it to actually count.

Very good scrimmage today for both squads. First quarter 23-21 MT, second quarter 21-19 MT, Third quarter 27-18 Peebles. 4th quarter MT by I think 10, 5th quarter was I believe around 3 or 4 points MT. Reserve games were closely contested well. Fun afternoon that I'm sure really helped our under classmen see what they need to work on. The overall size of the Panthers presented a challenge to the Indians , but; they worked hard and played well. MT will do very well this year and in D3 overall and I believe Peebles will be tough to handle in D6. Good luck to both squads.

Never could understand why Amanda-Clearcreek isn't included in the SE District, but yet Fairfield Union, New Lexington, & Sheridan are. Correct me if I am wrong but wasn't Amanda CC in the SE District at one point in time?

They’ll be in the SE district next school year. The new AD understands the value of Amanda being in the SE and got it done.

I know you will, but keep a close eye on Chillicothe.

Last night they started: 6’2, 6’4, 6’2 (and LONG), 6’4 and 6’7

Only one senior, so the offense should get better throughout the season. But, that defense will play against anybody. Toss in that Caydon Cox is outstanding along with Hamman and Stoneking on the outside and I think they have the makings to be an Elite 8 team at some point this season.

I think Bloom is going to struggle this season, but Chillicothe still utterly dominated from the jump.

The Peake scrimmaged Chillicothe on Monday. They are going to be tough to handle. They are athletic and quick. Peake won 3 of the 4 quarters and it was a great test for both teams.

... that's the rumor peake71 - I spoke with Coach Beard of Chillicothe at Zane Trace on Wednesday - he had nothing but good things to say about Chesapeake as well as telling me that his Cavs are not the same as last year - much improved , lots of athletic ability and hoops talent ... the Cavs are definitely on my radar to get out and see sooner than later - multiple times this season for sure as well as you Panthers ...

Hammy is down their stud from last year. He got hurt in Football. FU started out slow but really caught fire in second half. Kline had a decent game but needs to get tougher and more aggressive. Utz is a couple inches taller and drove the ball more than settling for jumpers. The other big, Webb, had a really good game and plays with some fire and toughness. Big man, alum, Woodside is now coaching and should have a big influence on the big men. We'll see what they're made of in the next couple weeks as they have a tough 4 to 5 game stretch on the road.

Woodside was outstanding in the FU uniform on the hardwood - as you said he will bring some firsthand in the trenches knowledge to the big men in the post for FU ... I'm going to Vinton County to see Coach Helber's FU Falcons this Saturday before going to Zane Trace to catch the ZT vs Waverly matchup THEN driving back the Hocking Hills to probably be able see 3/4 of the OSU CG ... a good day ...
