Re: Burg Basketball
lol dang man you barely gave ppl even 12 hours to respond
We open up tm vs Lewis County. Woulda played Unioto but got snowed out in the shawnee thing.
Big test coming 27th against PTOWN which will be a good gauge to see where we are. I think Adkins is out for ptown tho so that hurts them. Might be a few weeks before we see what this team really is with football going deep. I think we are one of the favs to win D5 district tho then who knows in regionals anyone's game
I havent heard if any football kids didnt come out or did come out. Anyone got info on that?

Re: Burg Basketball
Not sure on on total wins with a tough nonconference schedule (Unioto, Chillicothe, Portsmouth, Ironton, Jackson, etc) and no off nights in SOC III. Will likely start slow due to football, but regardless, will be a team capable of winning D5 District Championship by end of season.
Rucker one of best point guards in area, and McGraw/Bivens both capable of going for 20+ on any given night. Also look for their younger players to step up (Miller, Doerr, Hanzel, etc). Got some serious talent coming up through the pipeline as well*

Re: Burg Basketball
If Portsmouth doesn't defend the 3 ball better than they did vs. Fairland last night, Wheelersburg will beat the Trojans. I understand that the Burg doesn't have much size, but since they scored 84 points in their first game, I would assume that they knocked down quite a few 3's.
Re: Burg Basketball
This Pirates basketball team is undersized but very athletic and full of key senior contributors that have been playing major minutes for 3-4 years.
Feels like they are being slept on a bit IMO. They will be a tough out in March
