Great lineup !!! looking forward spending the day watching, talking hoops with our friends in Chesapeake … outstanding event run by seemingly the entire Chesapeake school/community … Who is this years honoree ?
Re: BEASTS OF THE SOUTHEAST 2016
Pfloyd I could safely say about 75 Chesapeake volunteers pitch in on the day of the tournament, not including numerous sponsors. As far as the honoree, I don't think it's been announced yet.
Really looking forward for the 8:00 game. It will be exciting to see if fairland' young guns can handle the spotlight of a prime time game.

bbn77 … 75 volunteers is amazing - and every last one of them is totally "the friendliest" group of people you will ever want to meet … the Hospitality Room alone is run by/stocked by/restocked by mom's ALL day long - talk about awesome "eats" - full meals are served in there from noon until closing … the entire event is simply the best I attend all season …
… great hoops … run by great people … it doesn't get any better …

Re: BEASTS OF THE SOUTHEAST 2016
Thanks! I was looking for this one day last week and couldn't find it!
Re: BEASTS OF THE SOUTHEAST 2016
... have already informed one sponsor of an event that is being held on Saturday Jan 9th that Mr. & Mrs. Pfloyd will not be able to attend their event due to an engagement on The River at Chesapeake HS (that by the way I had to miss last year due to having another job related event I had to attend) ... not going to miss the "annual" trip to the Beasts of the SouthEast hoops event - my CT scans at The James are not until a week later SO I.WILL.BE.IN.THE.CHEAP.SEATS. on the river - a great lineup of games with quality teams !!! ...
Re: BEASTS OF THE SOUTHEAST 2016
Looking forward to your visit to the Beasts, should be another great day of basketball.
Will be traveling with the Peake this weekend at Newark for two games against some Div. 1 schools.

Re: BEASTS OF THE SOUTHEAST 2016
The ticket price is $8.00 for all day not $9.00 as was previously stated.
We have a core group that works all year to make this a successful day of basketball. As some know it just isn't put together in a few days time.
Many of our volunteers kids or grandkids have graduated, or have no kids and yet they are there to support all year long and not just basketball but other sports too.

Re: BEASTS OF THE SOUTHEAST 2016
Anyone know why Valley and Fairland play last instead of Chesapeake as has been the norm for as long as we have been attending?
Re: BEASTS OF THE SOUTHEAST 2016
probably wanted a good match up for last game , not sure who peake plays.
if portsmouth had played the ND vs rose him game last , wouldnt have had anyone in the stands
