Fairfield is close to 6-9
Whiteoak is about 6-9...but a win over Fairfield and 14-2 D3 North Adams
Manchester is around 8-6...but destroyed New Boston by 30, beat Western, beat Whiteoak twice....lost to 11-4 Lynchburg, 14-2 North Adams twice and a very good team from Kentucky
Whiteoak play Fairfield this Friday I think.....winner gets the 5 seed....loser gets the 6th
1.Manchester
2.Western
3.New Boston
4.East
5.Whiteoak
6.Fairfield
7South Webster
8.Paint Valley
9.ND
10.Clay

I agree with all of you with Manchester being the number one seed. However, I don't know if the #2 and #3 seeds are a lock for Western and New Boston in either order. I really think East has to be given some consideration for one of these spots. Here is why:
- East beat Western head to head
- East split with New Boston
- if East beats Symmes Valley on Friday they will have the same number
of wins as New Boston. East will have two more losses, but East has
played more games than New Boston
- East has played two more Divison III schools than New Boston
- New Boston did NOT play this past Tuesday at Symmes Valley when
Symmes Valley was in school that day. All SOC I teams other than
New Boston played their games that night. If New Boston would have
played their game that night and lost, then their record would be even
more comparable to East's.
I'm not saying that East should be a # 2 or a # 3 seed, but every post it seems has them as a # 4. Of course, if they don't win this Friday, then they probably would deserve a # 4 seed.
Just thought I'd throw these things out there for discussion.

1. Oak Hill 13-2
2. Waterford 11-2
3. Symmes Valley 8-4
4. Southern 8-6
5. Eastern 4-9
6. Miller 4-8
7. Ironton St. Joe's 5-9
8. Trimble 4-10
9. Eastern Pike 3-11
10. South Gallia 2-12
St. Joe drops because strength of schedule. South Gallia might flip flop Eastern Pike with a big win over New Boston Saturday.
2. Waterford 11-2
3. Symmes Valley 8-4
4. Southern 8-6
5. Eastern 4-9

I certainly agree with the above post by bucknut 23. Let us look at the projected top 4 teams record against one another.
Manchester is 2-0 (Wins over Western and New Boston)
East is 2-1 (Wins over Western and New Boston, loss to New Boston)
Western is 1-2 (Win over New Boston, losses to Manchester and East)
New Boston is 1-3 (Win over East, losses to East, Manchester, and Western)
I also find it quite hard to give New Boston a higher seed when they were beaten by 30 points against Manchester. They might have deserved a higher seed than East if they had actually played and beaten Symmes Valley last Tuesday.
Another aspect to consider is that if both teams win Friday night then they will have the same number of wins, 11. Two of New Bostons will have come against South Gallia, a team with no wins against an OHSAA sponsored team.
East may have one more league loss than NB, but it must be noted that East lost at Eastern in the first week of the season. The majority of the East b-ball team also played football and had a short time to prepare considering that they went to the playoffs in football.
My picks would go like this...
1. Manchester (With a win Friday)
2. East (With win over SV Friday)
3. Western ( With a win Friday
4. New Boston (With wins this weekend)
5. Whiteoak
6. Green
7. Fairfield
8.South Webster
9. Paint Valley
10. Notre Dame
11. Clay

seeding
I agree seeding 1 through 4 will involve the above mentioned teams. Everyone seems to point to the Manchester win over New Boston by the wide margin. I would give the #1 seed to the Greyhounds. The other three seeds are a toss up. I believe the Tigers left it all on the floor at East the night before the Manchester game. The win over the Tartans was an emotional one.
Another note is that Symmes Valley was the host school and they cancelled. New Boston had nothing to do with cancelling the game.
Three of the four teams, New Boston, East and Western are all in the hunt for the conference with Symmes Valley. There is a lot of basketball to be played before the tournament.
Good Luck to all in the tournament!

If East wins this tomarrow they deserve no less than the 3rd seed. It is not just about conference wins and losses. East beat Western, split with New Boston and how has a the chance to split with Symmes Valley tomarrow night. Western is a 10 win team and could be an 11 win team after tomarrow night. If East beats Symmes Valley who is 8-4 on the year with I believe 3 of those Losses coming at the beginning of the year those will be quality wins in which SHOULD and Will get them the 2nd or 3rd seed.

Wow, losing to Rock Hill, Coal Grove twice, Valley, New Boston, East, Green, Raceland and South Point once each.
Ironman,
Manchester may have 2 more loses, but you have to look at their schedule. They have played a tougher schedule. They only have 2 Div. 4 loses. I think they still get the one. They beat Western and from what I heard it was one of their worst games. They showed New Boston what they can do and beat them by 30, playing the whole bench a lot in the 4th quarter.
