Ironton 54 VS Gallipolis 45 - FINAL - 1/29

Post by caglewis »

ALMOST GAME TIME

On the radio at WIRO 1230 AM
On the web at: http://www.800wvhu.com/pages/hsbroadcasts.html
I have found that I need to turn off my pop-up blocker to get this up on my screen.

Triple-header games tonight. Varsity Game will probably be a little late getting started.

SCORE - FRESHMEN - IRONTON 47 - GALLIPOLIS 28
And their UNBREATEN STATUS REMAINS INTACT!

JV game still in progress - with around 5 minutes left Ironton is up 40-19
Jason reports it was a very low-scoring first half, but Ironton came out in the 2nd half and broke it wide open. Just under 2 minutes left - Ironton up 46-22
FINAL JV SCORE - IRONTON 48 - GALLIPOLIS 26

Varsity game starts in 15 minutes [from 7:35].
Just announced - the Girls Ironton vs Gallipolis Game tomorrow night [Wed] will be broadcast and webcast on WIRO - a very special announcer will be helping with the play-by-play!

I would be remiss if I did not offer my congrats to the Ironton Freshman BB team. They are doing great. I will enjoy watching this freshman class excell in ALL the sports the next few years.

I can tell you that this group of freshmen are gonna be one heckuva class both on and off the court, field, course, and diamond.

I would LOVE to have some of whatever Kevin Anthony was enjoying on his ride to Gallipolis this evening!

It was just announced that Kevin will be joined on the mircophone by Joe Holtzapfel for tomorrow evenings Lady Tiger game.

Kevin was talking about how much he was going to enjoy the "Holtzapfel ambiance" tomorrow evening >>>>>> I have heard a lot of things said regarding Josephus but ambiance was never one of them!

Kevin had better monitor what Joe eats the next 24 hours.

That could have a drastic effect on the ambiance joe brings with him tomorrow evening.

I just called Peddlers and the lunch special tomorrow is sauerkraut & weiners and brown bean soup.

Gallipolis played with a lot of heart tonight, they had a pretty slow start with a lot of turnovers but overall looked pretty good. Ironton seemed to hit everything in the first half.
