Anthony Hitchens possible McDonald's All-American

Post by 86cavs »

I was listening to wkkj this morning. They quoted that Humpty's name was nominated for the McDonald's All-American team. The selection of the team does not take place until sometime in February.Man that is a big Honor for the youngman. The last All-American for Basketball for Chillicothe or Ross County,I'm taking a long shot here, either it was Garin Veris or Mark Bayless.Hitchbone 64 maybe you can figure this one out Cuz.Congratulations to the Hump way to go Cuz!!!! and to the rest of The Cav squad.

Drew Spradlin from Wheelersburg was also nominated for the McDonald's All-American Team. There are about 1,500 players nominated. Over the past few years, Wheelersburg's Cam Miller and Andrew Burleson were also nominees.

Congrats to both!!

I think he has a great chance--Dayton and Zanesville couldn't stop him plus he knows how to play when in foul trouble

Great the kid got nominated I mean he is a heckuva player. But he won't be in the game or anything like that. Having watched him play this year I think he will be very successful at Akron and I wish him all the best.

Congrats!!! I was going to create a thread asking if anyone knew if he was invited to any All-Star camps this year. If McDonalds doesnt come calling I am sure he will be in several great camps. Nike puts on a great game here in louisville at freedom hall every year I would love to see him here.

he wont make the game but its a nice honor to be nominated. I'd say Hitchens will probably be playing in the North South game and the Ohio vs. Kentucky game, probably with Aronhalt as well.

I only see possibly 4 from Ohio to get a look at

Kenny Frease
Yancy Gates
Will Buford
BJ Mullens

No way Frease would get in.

Mullins is nationaly rated higher than Gates also, so he'd get a bigger look, IMO. I'd say Buford would be the closest thing to a lock from Ohio.

Yancy - #80

casebolt101 is right. Yancy has a much bigger future. But Kenny plays alot harder and is ranked higher in most publications and web sites.

I think Wil and BJ are a lock for the Mcdonalds game. And if Delvon was Healthy it could be the first time Ohio has three players representing. Look for Gates also Freese to possibly get in the Jordan classic which is getting bigger every year.

Re-Hitchens in this game. If a injury would not have slowed him in the summer could of had a better chance. However I am like dshanton3 the Ohio/Kentucky and North/South game seems more like it.

I'm sure that had to hurt. I nomibated my foot one time and "crikies" did that ever hurt.

Congratulations to Humpty on the nomination.
