I guess I'll get this debate started! I've assumed that any team in the southeast district is eligible.

1. Logan Elm
2. Logan
3. Chillicothe
4. Portsmouth
5. Oak Hill
6. South Point
7. Fairland
8. McClain
9. Vinton County
10. Piketon
11. Warren
12. Wheelersburg
13. Ironton
14. Alexander
15. Belpre
16. Fairfield
17. Zane Trace
18. Chesapeake
19. North Adams
20. Huntington

I don't know alot about the teams from all of southeastern Ohio let alone 20 TEAMS !!! So, I will say that Oak Hill will be VERY good and I think that Portsmouth will be one of the best around.

Are we talking about next year, the last 5 years, the past 10 years? It all depends on what, specifically you are asking about.

Chillicothe will still be THE BEST TEAM IN SEO. They bring back a lot of peices although they do lose the two superstars. Don't forget that Caleb Knights and Seth Dawes will be four year starters and both can score the ball ( they just haven't had to since their freshman years) Benson would be first team all SVC (that is evident by the fact that Baker, who wouldn't have played at all at Chilli, making it this year.) Ronnie Smith is getting better and better and will be a very serviceable player. The X-factor will be the development of Turner and the readiness of the 6-6 Freshman Malik London. If Turner can be mature and play well as a 2 guard Then this team's backcourt will once again fluster all league foes that they face. IMO London will not be much of a factor early but by mid-season could contribute nicely on the Glass and come off the bench to be a spark defensively( much like Tyler Longpre several years ago). Depth will be the only concern that I have for the Cavs. Chilli will once again march through the SEOAL with few challengers other than the ville and Portsmouth. IF Turner AND London develop and can play good minutes they could once again make a run at an undefeated league slate. That is however, a big if and I see them losing 2-3 games but winning the League. IMO they have all the potential and Leadership(KNIGHTS) to make it back to regionals and possibly Columbus depending on the Regional competition.

1. Chillicothe
2. Portsmouth
3.Logan Elm
4.McClain(if Zollo returns)
5. Logan
6. Vinton County
7. Oak Hill
8.Warren
9. Piketon
10.Wheelersburg
11.-20. who knows.

Mark it down folks. In 10 months you guys can all thank me for imparting this wisdom way back in May. :-D

Wheelersburg never rebuilds, Barrick re-loads. They will be a top five team once again next year -- count on it.

The Portsmouth Trojans made big strides last year by gaining much needed experience playing in a very good SEOAL, winning 5 more games than the previous year, and is one of the few teams in SE Ohio returning all 5 starters.

The guard tandem of Andrew Bendolph and Forrest Johnson should be outstanding, and with excellent size/scoring on the front line, the Trojans have the whole package.

How good the Trojans will be depends on how much they want to play defense......if they do, they could be an outstanding team.

Logan Elm and Chillicothe should battle it out for the D2 district title, while Oak Hill should be the favorite for the D4 district. I think that the D3 field won't be as deep as last year's, and I think that Portsmouth has an excellent shot of advancing to the regionals..........but D3 is probably the most competitive division in the SE district.

The SE has two D2 entries into the regionals so that's two district titles.

LE, Chilli, Vinton and Gfield should be the four teams playing for the two berths, much like this past year.

For Div. 4, you all are leaving out Manchester. They lost one starter and a player that had limited minutes from what I saw of them. They return the two leading scorers from last year along with their point guard and great role player. Peebles will also be a team to watch. They return everyone and will look to build off going to districts. They will be under a new coach but with their talent, should be good.
