I believe this is the annual Shrine Preview which is hosted by Athens High School. I think it now puts TVC-Ohio teams vs. TVC-Hocking teams, but we have an odd number of TVC-Ohio teams.

Bulldog64 can perhaps answer this for us.

It's always held the Friday before the regular season starts. In this case, the day after Turkey Day.

Here is the schedule -
Athens County Shrine Preview
It is sponsored by the Athens County Shrine Club and they use
proceeds from admissions, concessions, etc. to provide money
to help youths ... Their total is one of the top turned in from
a widespread area. It is a great project.

It will be held Friday, Nov. 28 at Athens High School
and will include six games .. Athens has switched from
the Southeastern Ohio Athletic League to the Tri-Valley
Conference. With Athens changing leagues, all 12 of the teams are from the TVC .
5:00 p.m. - Nelsonville-York vs. Southern\
6:15 p.m. - Trimble vs. Belpre
7:00 p.m. - Meigs vs. Wellston
7:45 p.m. - Vinton County vs. Federal Hocking
8:15 p.m. - Alexander vs. Eastern
9:00 p.m. - Athens vs. Miller

There are 13 TVC schools, Waterford will not participate.

Long ways to travel for H2O Ford for a 2 quarter preview. I love the preview. Wish the Chiefs were still in it, but it works out great for the TVC.

By the way, I'll have to check with Odie's widow to see if he gets a later from the state tourney officials. Hope to do the same as we have in the past.

Coach Oz is supposed to get the 2009 Paul Walker award during the Division II title game on Saturday, March 28.

Hope to see you when Athens comes to town for a non-league battle on Dec. 13.

I think it was two years ago,when Jay Edwards played for NY, Southern and NY played in this preview and NY opened the game with a designed ally-oop play. It was unsucessful but it was also very unexpected.

PREVIEW, aka, little schools in Northern Washington County preview. EasternDspy, your absence since football has been quite conspicuous, to say the least.

If H2OFord wanted to test themselves, they would go to Athens. FF, on the other hand, will never play an Athens county team on the road, so they have their own little "PREVIEW" at home. Whatever...........
