I hope SG does well in all of its sports.

But I have to say that 4 upperclassmen out of five starting is not young. Maybe not very experienced at the Varsity level, but definitely not young

Compared to past SG teams, this team is young. That is why I said that. But you are correct, to most people that would be a veteran team. We are just used to having anywhere from five to ten Seniors on the team.

Saying they are not very experienced at the Varsity level is a more accurate way to describe it. Although you couldnt tell in the opener. You would think they would have the jitters but at the end of the first quarter the score was 24-6. That was almost the identical Cross Lanes team that the Rebels lost to by 2 to open the year up last year.

Southwestern and Hannan Trace both had better programs than what we see in mercerville today. Back in 82, we would have beat either one of these teams.

If you are going to criticize, at least be articulate when doing it.

The athletes at South Gallia have no control over the teams on their schedule. They just play whatever team shows up. As for them only beating blind christians, have you ever heard the expression dead horse? Have they not won tournament games and made it to the Convo?

Although SGStinks frustrates us, Chucky, I don't think we should stoop to his level and start namecalling.

He'll last until one of the moderators see what he/she is doing.

I will not even dignify your insulting and malicious post with a response. Wait, I changed my mind. Why don't you take the time to actually get to know these kids? They are good young men and do their best, like many other high school students. Instead of criticizing their schedule, why not encourage them in the contests they have?

Yeah and the hay was good back in 91. I know a few that will get a kick out of that one.

Lets stay on topic with this years team. The past is what it is, the past. I guess this thread will be a little more hot later tonight.

Motivator I do not think that is any adult off the 82 team or any Southern basketball player posting any of that negative stuff. I hope it is not anyone from Southern. Because they act like their about 12 years old. They really look stupid, just ignore them. I think they just want attention. They need to quit posting. They make Southern look bad. If they are really from Southern.

Was great to talk to Big tonight.

Also talked to several people that were a part of the 82 team-very good guys.

Congrats to Southern on the win. Rebels, take tonight and learn form it and improve each day!
