Sciotoville Community School (East) Tartans 78
New Boston Glenwood Tigers 50

The Tartans jumped out to an early 17-4 lead with 2:35 to go in the first quarter and never looked back. At the end of one it was Tartans 19-8.

At the half, Tartans 33-19.

In the third, the Tigers rallied from being down 40-19 to pull within 13 at 40-27. The third ended Tartans 53-30.

The final, Tartans 78-50.

The JV Tartans also won 48-33.

Congratulations to the East Tartans! Good Luck the rest of the way!

New Boston falls to 3-12 overall and 3-9 in league play. East improves to 9-5 and 7-3, currently tied with Eastern for second place behind Western. The Tigers host the Clay Panthers 6-11, 6-5 after tonights overtime win over the Notre Dame Titans.

Congrats Tigers!

New Boston is now 4-12 overall and 4-9 in league play. Clay drops to 6-12 and 6-6.

New Boston has a full week of basketball this next week.

Monday, 2/16, the Ironton St. Joseph Flyers comes to town.
Tuesday, 2/17, the Tigers welcome the South Gallia Rebels.
Friday, 2/20, the Green Bobcats enter the Den.
Saturday, 2/21, the Tigers travel up to Piketon to meet the Redstreaks.

I am sorry, I did make a mistake. I just glanced at the listing and Green was just below Clay and I picked up the wrong records.

Please try to be patient and decent about corrections. Otherwise, I say you go ahead and keep track.

New Boston held the lead at halftime 38-25.
St.Joseph rallied to lead after three 43-42.
The Tigers led by 5 points with about two minutes to go in the game.
The Flyers put together one last run to pull the game out with 7 seconds to go.
Congrats Flyers!

The Tigers fall to 4-13 overall and remain 4-9 in league play. The Flyers improved their record to 9-8. The Flyers JV also won.

Next up for NB is Tuesday, 2/17 as they host the South Gallia Rebels 8-9.

ACM, St. Joe is now 9-8. Do you know if NB was out of time outs after SJ hit the go ahead shot or if they just decided their best shot was to push it up the floor.

Thanks for the correction! I am not sure what happened there at the end. There seemed to be some confusion. They could have been out of time outs.

Congrats Tigers!

New Boston played host to the 8-9 Rebels and put together a pretty impressive victory. The Tigers led at the half just 29-26. After 3, the Tigers pushed that lead to 47-35. In the final frame, New Boston outscored the Rebels 27-19 to secure the win.

NB improves to 5-13 overall and remains 4-9 in league play. Next up for the Tigers is a home game with the Green Bobcats 3-14, 3-10, on Friday.

South Gallia won the Junior Varsity game. Good Luck to the Rebels in the tournament!

Franklin Furnace Green Bobcats 59

Congrats Tigers! Another team effort............WIN!

The Tigers have won six of their last nine games to improve their record to 6-13 overall and 5-9 in league play.

Green led after one 17-14.
The Bobcats led at the half 34-31 and at the end of three 47-44.
NB outscored Green in the final frame 22-12 to pull out the win 66-59.
It was an exciting game for both fans with several lead changes throughout the game.

The JV Bobcats won 43-34 and leading at the half 25-15.

Next up for New Boston is a makeup game at Piketon tomorrow night. The Redstreaks are 17-2 on the season.

The Piketon Redstreaks 18-2 defeated the Glenwood Tigers Saturday evening in Piketon. The Tigers end the regular season at 6-14.

#11 seed New Boston tangles with the #6 seed Notre Dame Titans 5-13? on Tuesday, 2/24 at 8:00 at Lucasville Valley High School.

The Tigers defeated the Titans at ND by a 63-54 score and at NB 67-62. Good Luck to both teams!

New Boston Glenwood 57
Portsmouth Notre Dame 54

The #11 seed Tigers picked up their third win over the #6 seed Titans and the 7th of the season overall. The record stands at 7-14.

New Boston meets the #3 seed Sciotoville East Tartans 14-7 tomorrow at Valley High School at 8:00. East defeated the Tigers 71-68 in NB and 78-50 at Sciotoville.

Leesburg Fairfield and Whiteoak play in the 6:15 game.
