Whiteoak lost a 1,000 point scorer and an excellent guard to graduation. They've been working hard in the weight room and they'll show up to play. They won at North Adams by 14. They have only 1 senior and mostly juniors will be contributing.

What time will the JV game start? I hope to make it to this game but also am attending my sons school Christmas program at 6:00.

This was an SHL game I was lucky to be at last year, and I almost got hit in the stands when a player came flying in! This could be a barn burner as it was last year! I'm sure it will get chippy, as it did last year! The CATS better show up ready for a war! I think the CATS claw there way to a 4th quarter showdown in Jackson!

.......................and that my friends, is the ugly truth!

Whiteoak's top 2 players have been on the court for a total of 10 minutes....about 3 minutes at the same time.

Excellent game between 2 good teams.

Taggert from Whiteoak has 18 and Kisor from Oak Hill has about the same.

Oak Hill 55
Whiteoak 52

Final

Whiteoak was up 4 with the ball on an inbounds under their basket with about 2:30 left. They took a quick shot that just missed and the Oaks rebounded. Oak Hill scored when they needed it most. Down 1, Whiteoak leading scorer Luke Taggert drove the lane with 10 seconds left and couldn't quite finish...Oak Hill got every late rebound and sealed it off contesting a final 3 from Whiteoak.

Taggert led Whiteoak with 20. Josh Kisor led the Oaks with at least 20 points. Whiteoak had trouble with the size and Kisor dominated the paint over the much smaller players. Doc Seip of Whiteoak had 22 in his first game but got in very early foul trouble and never could get going. Gage Carraher drilled 3 threes and Wes Stratton and Zach Docter had solid games for the Wildcats.

Oak Hill will win a lot of games. 6'6 Ganes, 6'5 Kisor, Fairchild, Stiltner, Hammond, Haislop and Love. Hammond and Love were solid tonight.

I hope this series continues. These teams should both have solid seasons. And for the folks in the SHL who judged Whiteoak by their Preview showing....well you're just wrong.

Lost a little in the excellent game, I thought both coaches did nice jobs adjusting and doing what was best for each of their teams. I'll guarantee both teams will be tough outs come tourney time. A clicking on most cylinders Whiteoak team could really make a run in D4.

Too bad Oak Hill isn't D4 anymore, as I would like to see this rematch come tournament time.
