Congrats to the Rockets on winning their first league game and snapping the 6-game losing streak.

Now we're in a 3-way tie for first in Division 2.

any score on Lynchburg/Fayetteville from yesterday?

Was that the score from Manchester/Fairfield game that AFJ posted? Regardless of the outcome congrats to Travis Combs for getting in to the 1000 point club last evening.

SHL is down compared to what it has been. It just don't have the stand out teams that they've had the past couple of years. Peebles is the closest to being that team this year. But the SHL was much stronger when it consisted of Unger(NA), Justice(PHS), Seaman(PHS), Blevens(MHS), Cox(FHS), Michaels(WHS), Countryman(PHS), Taul Williams and Washington(RHS), Jimison(NA), Bennington Price Staggs Stapleton Cox(WHS), Older Sparks(NA), Arnold(PHS), Knabb(EHS), Quinlin(MHS) and so on. The SHL has lost a lot of good talent from most teams in the league and IMO isn't as talented overall

the SHL was in no question best from 96-2006, the talent level in that 10 years span was very impressive. IMO

If you reread my post I was referring to the quality depth of the league. There are 8 quality teams in the SHL this year - maybe the most of any year.

Clear improvement from last year = LC, NA, Fayetteville, EB.

Slight Drop/Pretty close to last year = Peebles, Manchester, Fairfield.

Same Quality = Ripley, West Union, Whiteoak.

Unger is playing at Southern State and won a national player of the week award a while back, Seaman played a season at Marietta College and currently goes to Southern State and might play next season, Justice is red-shirting at Akron, Blevins signed with Mount St. Joseph but is no longer on the team, Countryman starts as a freshman for Mount St. Joseph, Cox signed with Shawnee State but is no longer on the team, Jarrin Taul is playing at Wilmington College, Ravye Williams is in the Army, Demarco Washington plays for Miami(OH)-Middletown, Tyler Jimison plays for Southern State, Jeremy Bennington played for Southern State but is currently on the team at Shawnee State, Cox from West Union played at Marietta College, Stephen Sparks and the two other West Union guys did not play in college to my knowledge, Tyler Arnold did not play in college, Tyler Knabb played for UC Clermont but is currently playing for Southern State, and Quinlin is playing for Shawnee State.

The quality of the teams is what I'm disagreeing with! Is the league more equally competitive? Possibly. That's due to The quality of the teams being down which therefore gives teams normally getting blown out by the better teams a chance to compete with them. As I said before there really isn't the dominate standout team. Also from 96-2006 was good talent but I wouldn't take away from the years after that with the Unger, Justice era.. And NA making a regional appearance while peebles competed with them strongly. Peebles also losing in heartbreakers in districts. Just my opinion

Lynchburg-Clay over West Union 56 to 47. Probably the closest margin West Union's lost by all year.

Sounds like teams should stop taking the Rockets for granted.

Glad to see you on here Rocketcountry. Fayetteville's under represented on SEOPs.
