Portsmouth lost to Northwest last year as Hank Leslie had a monster game........with each game the Trojans have improved in all aspects........Anthony Williams leads PHS with a 19 PPG avg, while Tory Horne averages 17 PPG. Andrew Bendolph is averaging around 11 PPG, but dishing out 7 APG and 4 SPG(steals). He is vastly improved this year in the assist and steal stats. He is a much more complete player than he was last year.

GO TROJANS!!!

I look for Portsmouth to win this one by a good margin. I was thinking it'd be closer then after talking more about it with trojandave and looking at who they've lost to I think Portsmouth should win handily. Too much speed and size for anyone around here.

Prediction
82-58 PHS

Portsmouth big. Too much speed, athleticism, and height. Game should be settled by the half.

If northwest doesn't get out of this slump Portsmouth could beat them by however many they want......this years Northwest team is like last years Portsmouth they're just not playing together and to their potential...... they have they talent they just have to utilize it properly....hopefully they wake up and get a win against a super tough portsmouth team!

This is what happens to you when you have non-league opponents such as Notre Dame and Clay and get easy wins over them. When the competition gets stiffer with the likes of Valley and Minford you have to elevate your game and so far Northwest hasn't done that this year. Portsmouth wins this game by 20+.

[quote="trojandave"]Portsmouth lost to Northwest last year as Hank Leslie had a monster game........

yeah hank did have a good game but this year he doesnt have the players like last year to help spread the defense and get some room. Ronnie strickland, stefan spriggs and jstin malone was a BIG part of hanks "monster game".

but i see portsmouth winnin this one by about 40

82-42 phs
