The burg don't impress me on offense. They try to win every game on defense. Thats why they only average 40 some points per game. Oak Hill should win this game by 15 if not more. I look for them to pack the paint shut down Stegman and force the burg to shoot three's. Look at their last game 31-26 against Gallia? Oak Hill will not be affected by the crowd. I been to their home games and when they are cold shooting the crowd sets on their hands and waits for something good to happen before they get loud. Oak Hill will have to have their starting five in a coma and shoot like Minford 20% for this to be a loss.

The Burg doesn't have to be impressive on offense when they play as good a defense as they play. No one has scored 60 points on them yet this season with only 4 scoring in the 50's. Nine have scored in the 40's and they've held 3 opponents to less than 30. This team is young and will only getter better offensively through next season and then watch out. With the defensive intensity these guys have coupled with a nice offense should be scary for league opponents especially since everyone is coming back next year.

This game is what high school basketball is all about. The two best teams in the league playing for at least a share of the championship. At Oak Hill, WB shot horribly--I don't look for that to happen again. Oak Hill is playing their best basketball now so I expect a close game throughout with the winning team making a few more plays in the last minutes of the 4th quarter. Also, I believe the game will be on 99.3 and one of the Jackson stations--either 96.7, 97.7, or 98.7.

If the Pirates don't play any better that they have the last three games, two of those were losses and one a very sloppy and ugly win over Gallia Academy, then this game will end up like Valleys loss to the Oaks.

Good luck to the Pirates. Win this one and you are in the drivers seat for another SOC II title.

We beat Minford 58-44 on Friday night. I feel if we play like we did Friday against Minford, we have a great chance to win this game.
