In the latest AP Poll (1/11) Division IV the New Boston Glenwood Tigers 10-1 remain at the #3 spot. #1 is Antwerp 9-0, #2 is Kalida 11-1.

The Trimble Tomcats 6-2 come in at #11, while the Federal Hocking Lancers 5-1 are at #13.

The Tigers jumped out to a 31-7 lead and cruised to the victory. At the half it was 57-15, after three 79-20 and the final 90-27. Twelve players saw action for New Boston.

Scoring for NB: Kyle Sexton 29, Tanner Voiers 25, De'von Jones 18, Chase Clark 9, Kage Truitt 5, Brady Voiers 2 and Hunter Easter 2.

New Boston improves to 11-1, 7-0 in SOC1, while East remains winless at 0-7, 0-6.

Next up for the Tigers is 1/15 as they go over to meet the Clay Panthers 2-9, 2-4, and 1/16 they return home for the Southern Tornadoes 0-8. East has the Green Bobcats 2-8, 2-4 at home on 1/15 and travel out to the Northwest Mohawks 2-6 on 1/16.

New Boston won the JV game tonight 33-27. The Tigers led after one 7-2 and at the half 12-8. East led after three 20-17. Scoring for NB was Mikey McGraw 12, Rhys Bratchett 11, Luke Henson 6, Colt Maynard and Jayse Tabor 2 each.

Peebles school officials have stopped us again. No games or practices till 1-28.I think one player.

Thx. This season is a bust so far.6 games in and not many more practices. It's a shame. Biggest team we've ever had since the 74 Peebles team that played in the regional finals.

We've got 12 games in but it has not been easy with cancellations, games postponed and reschedules all over the place.

2021 not much better than 2020 so far . Prayers for a full season. The seniors worked their entire lives to play this game and it's getting snuffed out.

New Boston traveled the short distance over the hill tonight and came away with the victory over the Clay Panthers. The Tigers led at all stops: 19-10 after one, 26-19 at the half, 55-27 after three and the final 74-44.

13 players saw action this evening for the Tigers.

New Boston moves to 12-1, 8-0 in conference play, while the Panthers slip to 2-11, 2-6.

The Tigers host the Southern Tornadoes tomorrow night. Southern is 1-8 with the win tonight over Eastern Meigs. Clay was scheduled to play at Western Pike 7-6, 4-3 on the 19th, but I thought I saw on the video board that the game was postponed.

Clay won the JV game 28-14. Rhys Bratchett led NB with 10 points, Colt Maynard 2, Jayse Tabor and Josh Alley one each.

Tanner Voiers was on fire with a career high of 36 points.

Kyle Sexton recorded his 1,000 rebound and over 1400 points.

24 team assists.

New Boston played host to the Racine Southern Tornadoes this evening and came away with the victory. The Tigers led the entire game: 30-10 after one, 50-20 at the half, 77-29 after three and the final 93-42.

Scoring for NB: Tanner Voiers 36, Kyle Sexton and Chase Clark 20 each, De'von Jones 10, Hunter Easter 3, Kage Truitt and Josh Tabor 2 each.

The Tigers improve their record to 13-1, 8-0 in SOC1. The Tornadoes slip to 1-9, 1-4 in the Tri Valley Conference (Hocking Division).

Next for NB is 1/19 as they host the Green Bobcats 5-8, 3-5 and on 1/22 they welcome the Ironton St.Joe Flyers 7-3, 4-2 to the Den. Southern was to play the Point Pleasant Big Blacks on 1/19 but West Virginia has not started basketball yet. So the next game is 1/26 as they host the Beallsville Blue Devils of Monroe County. Maxpreps has the Blue Devils at 0-1.

Southern won the JV game 44-29. Scoring for the Tigers JV: Rhys Bratchett 7, Josh Alley 6, Mikey McGraw, Hunter Easter and Seth Perry 3 each. Jayse Tabor, Colt Maynard and Kage Truitt 2 each and Josiah Smith 1.

The latest AP Poll is out today and the New Boston Glenwood Tigers are rated #1 in the State in the Division IV Poll.

Next game for the Tigers is tomorrow evening as they host the Green Bobcats in the Den.

Also rated is the Trimble Tomcats 7-2 in the #11 spot and the Federal Hocking Lancers 5-1 in the 16th spot.

New Boston's home game with Green scheduled for tomorrow has been postponed and also the game Friday at home vs Ironton St.Joe has been postponed.

Next scheduled games are 1/29 at Western Pike and 1/30 at Ironton St.Joe.

The Tigers are scheduled to play Wednesday 1/27 at Greenup County, Ky. GC is 3-5 on the season.

The game at Western is still on for 1/29.

The game with Green at home has been rescheduled for 2/2.

The game with at Ironton St.Joe rescheduled for Saturday 1/30 has been postponed again and rescheduled for 2/4.

2/9 Minford at home.

2/12 Symmes Valley at home.

The home game with Ironton St.Joe has been rescheduled for 2/13.

The Peebles game at home has not been rescheduled.

The schedule showed tenative. I think that was before the Greenup County game was scheduled. Thanks for the correction!

New Boston Glenwood stays at the top of the AP Poll released today at #1. Trimble is at #12 and Federal Hocking at #13.
