I think it’s going to be a tough tournament season for the SVC. ZT, because of a pretty high seed they’ll get in DIII , will earn a sectional title, along with PV, as they are the lone DIV representative from the SVC. Both teams though will have really tough matchups in their district semifinal game.
Westfall could be a long shot to sneak away with a sectional also. Their chances will be hindered how the tournament is set up now, as they will have to go in the road and earn it playing at a higher seeds home floor. Tough to accomplish.
We might see a SVC champ of the league have the hardest road to win a sectional, with Unioto being DII. DII this season in the southeast is full of high quality good teams who are more than capable of giving Unioto a loss.

how fun would it be if Paint Valley wins friday and Piketon wins saturday. 4 way tie for first at 6-2 and one team at 5-3

This seams to be true every season for Unioto. Tough district every year

I was hoping for a better year from the SVC but there is usually a surprise team at tournament time so let’s hope this year is no exception.

My surprise team would be Paint Valley. I have watched them, they have a lot of talent and good athletes, a fiery coach. Don't really understand their record, but don't think they have been lopsided losses. Maybe just haven't clicked yet and will get going into the tourney.

Log jam at the top of the standings after tonight with both Unioto and Zane Trace losing. Big game tomorrow as Zt host Unioto. PV seems to be peeking at the right time. Zt and Pv still play each other twice. Going to be Interesting down the stretch.

I really enjoy watching Westfall play. They play hard and pass the ball really well. They are beating teams that have way more talent than the Mustangs do.

Zane Trace with a dominating win over Unioto after dropping a tough one last night. Tough weekend for the U. Pv with a nice weekend putting them in the chase. Far from over! Lots of big games ahead

Coming down to the final week of the league! There haven’t been any standout teams this year but arguably the most balanced it’s been in a while. Top five teams still could win it. I think unioto has the easiest path but this weekend will tell so much.

ZT still has @Piketon, PV x2, @Adena, @ SE
PV still has @ Westfall, PIketon, ZT x2, @ Adena, SE
Piketon still has ZT, @ PV, Huntington, Westfall
Unioto still has Adena, @ SE, Westfall, Huntington
Westfall still has PV, Huntington, @ Unioto, @ Piketon

Like I thought, ZT will win this league with Unioto and PV right behind them.

Piketon and WF surprised me, doing better than I had thought. Thought they would be battling it out with the bottom teams. You really have to give Piketon’s coach a lot of credit. They were the team that I thought would really struggle.

Considering what Adena and SE lost, I thought they had slightly better years than expected. Thought one of these 2 would maybe go winless.

Huntington is a team that really disappointed. Many people picking them 4th or 5th in the league. Looks like they won’t win a single league game. They’ve always won a couple league games, even when they’ve been bad the last few years. That’s a program that went from bad to absolutely embarrassing.

I wouldn’t sleep on PV pulling this off! They have two of the better players in the league. They play Zt twice in 10 days. The way this league has been this year, I wouldn’t be surprised by anything.

Did anyone see the end of the Unioto/Adena game? From the video’s and pictures I’ve seen, the refs awarded Unioto a 3 at the end of regulation that was shot after time expired. That would of been a huge win for an Adena team that has struggled most the year.

What is going on in the SVC? I don’t know if anyone will get out of the sectionals this year.
