I truly believe Federal Hocking has a good chance to make some noise come tournament time. Solid players, good play makers, good shooting, athletic, and seems like good coaching.

We'll see how they handle getting beaten soundly pretty soon. If they can bounce back from that then they might have a chance in the tourney.

That’s why you play the game. I imagine FH will give you everything they have and more. Don’t get me wrong, FH will be the underdog, but I think they like that role.

Weather and postponements have wreaked havoc on boys basketball schedules, so here is a quick glance at what is it stake this upcoming week. Vinton County leads the Ohio Division by one game, but has a huge match-up with 2nd place Alexander Tuesday after hosting Meigs Monday night. The Spartans, who handed VC its only league loss earlier this year, control their own destiny with the rematch in McArthur, a game vs Athens Friday and Meigs at home on Saturday. Win all three and Alexander will at least grab a share of the TVC-Ohio title. The Vikings path to an outright championship will not be easy as they play Monday night (at Meigs), Tuesday (vs Alex) and Friday (at Wellston).

On the TVC-Hocking side, it’s pretty simple. Trimble (16-0),(9-0) at Federal Hocking (15-3),(9-0) this coming Friday in Stewart. Huge matchup for both teams, but, there will be a 2nd game between the two Athens County rivals taking place sometime after the tournament.

There is a league game taking place this afternoon, Sunday Feb. 6th, in Glouster between Trimble and Southern, but all eyes will be on the boys basketball tournament brackets, which will be released sometime after 2pm. The DIV southeast district draw will be the one to watch with a number of teams hoping to stake claim to one of the coveted top 4 seeds.

So Trimble is only playing a 20 game schedule, and there not playing there second game with FH till after the tournament,why not play it this week before Friday game

Trimble lost the Chesapeake game, they tried twice but kept getting snowed out.
Trimble lost a game versus Miller, not sure they will try and make it up.
Trimble plays Fed Hock this Friday - and they are in the same bracket. My guess is they don't want to be playing for a 3rd time in the tournament if it comes to that. Probably just wait is what I was told.

last lead for Meigs was 48 - 46 at the 5:38 left in the 4TH. VC took the lead at 5:24 and never looked back. outscored Meigs 16 - 2 the rest of the way. Last score for Meigs was at 4:40
