I say 2-3 year stint at Eastern then on to the rocking chair to be replaced by Leist.

I student taught for Stricklett at Eastern Pike back in the fall of 1997. He had a loaded varsity team that year. Doug Williams I think had a knee injury that year but they still had great players. Blanton kid was tough, Slusher, Hines was a freshman I think Blanton ended up being ineligible and they had to forfeit wins. Stricklett left and went back to Manchester. Leist was the other phys ed teacher at EHS and was step dad to all the Miller kids....who then went to Piketon after Stricklett left.

Last I knew of Jeff Stricklett was as the Ports West superintendent-did he retire?

There is so much going around now about kids transferring it is just crazy.

I assume the kids will be going too if true. But I was referring to a coaching change rumor.

The guy you’re talking about isn’t coming...I’ve heard the Bearcats tried and the timing didn’t work out.
