Give a shout out to the coaching staff. Coach Rider and his staff comes prepared and they have done a very good job with a very young team. Coaching is being done during the game . I for one like that approach . As a spectator I can see alot of unity in the team from top to bottom and that should make a fun season . There will be tough times that's for sure but it's how you handle it and that's what I see in the Purple Gang. Go Chiefs !!!!!

For the first two and a half quarters this was a very good game, no team either to have a lead larger than 7 or 8 I believe, don't hold me to that though. The last quarter and a half, Newark just took over, they are a very, very, very good team and will win a lot of games!

Logan will play Cincinnati Elder tomorrow night.

They can definitely beat Elder. Just have to play with disclipline and limit mistakes.

I watched the Elder-Olentangy game before the Logan game, and wasn't too impressed by Elder. Olentangy won by around 20.

They are usually the 3rd-4th best out of their 4 team division in the GCL, however, Moeller and St X have played each other for a state championship, so it's not necessarily a bad thing.

However, they usually also all play the same grind it out, make you earn every basket type of game throughout that league. I'm not sure if they are the same as they were a few years ago, but they probably still will burn you if take possessions off and will grind the clock if they get a lead.

That said, I fully expect Logan to get a W.

At onetime in the 3rd Logan was within 4. Full court pressure for the whole game finally got to Logan.
Newark is a very talented team.

If Elder would beat Logan by 25 then I would think they would beat Raiders team by 40 . I have seen both teams play and that's the truth The fiction was in the statement of a 25 point win by Raider and it would be fiction by me on his team to loose by 40. I really like these jabs by the same people it shows their true colors. I look for Logan to come away with a victory .

Logan played pretty even thru 2-1/2 quarters but foul trouble and limited bench was just to much to over come. Newark plays in a tough league but will do very well. Olentangy will be no test for Newark tonight . Newark has height, length,quickness and will go 10 deep. Good game for the Purple gang . They will only get better and remember they are a very young team but have a lot of potential. Good luck to all the SEO teams over the Holiday. Go Chiefs!!!!!!!

... there IS such a thing in the mind of the "committee of one - me" called a "good" loss ... how Logan played in the first 2 1/2 quarters vs possibly the #1 or #2 D1 team in the state makes this one a "good" loss in the committee of one's mind ... a "W" tonight vs Elder makes the Week that IS a good hoops week for the Purple & White ...

... "good" losses this week Warren @ Meadowbrook 51-55 was one of those "L's" ... Fairland takes on Chaminade Julienne tonight and Sugarcreek Garraway tomorrow night - 2 good games to raise the bar for the Dragons of Coach Speed ... Fairland may very well win them both! but losses in any one of those games isn't a game breaker as to their ranking ... the rankings are vs Southern/Southeast Ohio teams not the world ... teams outside of Southern/Southeast Ohio are good barometer games , and good for getting a feel for "what is out there " "introducing your team to what true size, speed, athleticism , D1 talent IS" ... Logan has no where to go except be thrown to the Central District Party in the postseason - there is no Convo , no playing teams Below the Lancaster-Dixon Line in the post season ... this is the last year to win "a league championship" ... every game is preparation for the post season vs Central District foes - Logan is going in the right direction ... the youngsters - sophomores will lead the way imo ... just as the freshmen/JV teams will learn what it takes to compete ABOVE the Lancaster-Dixon Line ... they will understand that competing in hoops takes year long preparation ...

Mosley does everything for Elder. Mosley is a 6'4 guard. Averages around 20. He hurt his hand against Fairfield. Without him they have no offense. 16-9 at half
