Will be interesting to see how Waverly fares against Wheeling Central Catholic tonight. WCC will need to regenerate after a hard-fought game against Marietta, but how much that matters and the road trip? Is this game live-streamed or even found on radio?

Has Ironton played at all? They should’ve had all the time in the world this season

As a Waverly guy, I think it’s gonna be a long night, I think we haven’t quite put it together still, which we are only 6 games in so they’ll figure it out and this is their first real real test, and the 3 hour bus ride compared to a 10 minute drive to St. Clairsville for central catholic will probably be the nail in the coffin, this will be a great experience for the boys none the less and even though I’m saying this, I want to see the boys go get it done tonight!

Go tigers!!!

Not really our first test, we did have that game against ZT.
I was thinking the same thing last night about not putting it all together yet - that will come as they continue to get better and start jelling. We just got Russell back which is big, so looking for the Tigers to start putting it all together mid to late January. Don’t know many teams without a senior on the roster and start a sophomore and freshman at the guard positions. Looking for improvement each game as they learn each other.
As for tonight’s game - regardless of the outcome, it will be a great experience for them, something they can build from.
I remember a game our Final 4 team had that wasn’t pretty at all but it was a great learning experience and they rebounded from it quite well.

I think Waverly did very well considering a 2 1/2 hour drive after a road game Friday night and losing a starting guard middle fourth quarter only down 6.

I was there. Should’ve played zone the whole game but they gave us the strap fair and square.
