For a school of less than 300 I think it is.

Just sat down at Gallipolis Bdubs. Filled with purple people

From what I've seen so far, the typical convo student section is 50-60 kids. Whether all of these kids decide to stand in the student section is a different story but 88 is a good number

I talked with person who is turning in the tickets and there was 164 sold.

Impressive crowd from Chesapeake. Student section about 6 rows deep, fans filled the sections from half court to behind the basket. Was very impressed to hear the whole Panther faithful roar a few "Let's go Peake" chants.

Thank you to those who gave their thoughts, and it's obvious it's the "been there done that" factor that some of you stated. Peake fans will normally not show up til the regional round and that was evident

I was referring to just the tickets sold to the students, not total pre sale.

A lot of students didn't get "student" tickets if they drove themselves or rode with parents. Is 88 the number that signed up to ride the bus? I find that number to be unrealistic if that's the case. I also find it odd that you felt the need to call out your fellow Panther fans in this way. I thought the topic was pretty useless and only begged for people to come on here and bash Chesapeake. As a fan, you should know that Chesapeake isn't the most affluent community in southern Ohio. Regardless of how many show up, I'm proud of our kids, coaches, and fans who are able to make it to the games. A lot of people like to call Ohio State fans spoiled, so I guess I'll take it as a compliment.

Congratulations to the Mustangs and good luck Saturday night. You have one new fan from Chesapeake.

When a high school student went down to buy a ticket during lunch over the week, the students name was written down and there were 88 names. That's what I'm referring to. I should've clarified before

I didn't exactly "call out" the fan base. If you read from the top, I was curious why all of a sudden attendance to Convo games dropped off but take it as you like it

And when I saw the improved crowd tonight, I gave recognition it deserved so I don't see where the problem is

I'm baffled that you call it an 'improved' crowd. For a regional semi-final I thought it was an INCREDIBLY small crowd. Yes, I know they aren't the biggest D3 school, but it's still surprising. I've seen schools smaller (South Webster) pack the Convo before, and for a school with such rich basketball tradition as Chesapeake, I was shocked at how small the crowd was.

Lynchburg outnumbered them 2-1.

The fans that did make the trip were engaged for the whole game, which wasn't the case the previous two games. Like others have said, attendance has dropped off because of a "been there done that" attitude

Well that's just silly and a spoiled, spoiled attitude.

Congrats to Chesapeake on a fine season.

It's hard for me to believe that Chesapeake H. S. is that small. I've watched them play basketball over the years, and, they sure find some super basketball players somewhere. I would have thought they were a much bigger school than that. Oh, well, I learned something, today.

You went far to find this forum again. Chesapeake high school enrollment is probably in the 290s-310s, and village population is less than 900.
