Valley could have won this game. South Webster has GOT to get some defensive intensity! They allowed Valley to penetrate all night and Valley couldn't take advantage of it.
The Jeeps did much better the 2nd half with their shot selection. Shots just weren't falling and they compensated for it. Great job. They did better with the press the 2nd half as well.
Both teams seemed off tonight. Could be the long layoffs followed by back to back games. And South Webster has another game tomorrow night.

Good win tonight, but you guys can play much better!

honeslty Jeep80, the defensive intensity was there, but they let em go in probably because they didn't want to foul out. Queen had 4, Sutton had 3 in the end, Scott had 4 almost the entire 4th quarter but he didn't foul.

It sure didn't look like it on the Internet broadcast. But you have a good point. Valley attacked the interior all night. They may have been trying to draw those fouls. It just looked sloppy on my end. But I'm not used to watching them so my point of reference is the 1st Northwest game.
Valley is a good team so that probably contributed to it.

The first half they couldn't hit the ocean from the beach. They adjusted very well the 2nd half, but I thought thier shooting % was much less than 40.

the first half of the game was comparable with the officiating at Waverly, contributing to the foul trouble. I'm not complaining though Transition baskets killed Valley. Foul shots second.

Nice road win for the Jeeps. Will they now have a chance to tie for second in SOC II with Waverly losing tonight? Unbelievable season for Coach Ater and the Jeeps. I know I had them around .500 with my prediction and they're now 14-3. Outstanding.*

Trevor queen was the spark last night at to end the half. That is what beat valley last night. The last 2 min. of the first half. They had a chance to build on their lead, but queen served up a big cup of "no soup for you". He had a some steals, rebounds, and some easy layups during that time. If you could get that production out of him for about 20 min. a game look out.

Team wise, they finally started passing into the post. Did anyone else see what happens when you pass into the post? Anyone? Anyone?
You get open looks and layups. Of course they didn't shoot all that well, but they did have some good looks.

That being said, valley defense last night was slot more disruptive than the oak hill defense that I saw at Webster. If any thing sunk in from last night there is no reason why they could not do that to the oaks. But you have to hit your shots against the oaks or they will take advantage of you.
