If Symmes Valley gets the #2 seed and South Gallia gets the #7 what leads someone to believe that SG will win? Having seen both teams I don't see it. Am I missing something ?

If both teams are injury free and playing with there full cast of characters I truly believe that on a neutral court Whiteoak would beat ND 95 out of 100 times.

Every year the seeds pretty much come down to records at the time of the draw. So don't be to surprised iF ND is seeded over Whiteoak if they have the better record. Probably not right but it happens every year. I don't believe ND is better than Whiteoak but Whiteoak and Fairfield will both have a good chance of advancing to the districts regardless of the sectional seeds.

Not so fast my friend. That is a very naive way of looking at it. Ever heard of conference loyalties? The Valley sectional has 7 of its 10 teams from the SOC and the Wellston sectional has 6 of its 9 members being TVC teams. Those numbers have more to do with the seedings than the actual number of wins and losses.

Thats funny last year only two teams came out of this sectional and they were both TVC teams. Eastern beat Symmes Valley and #3 seed Southern beat #2 seed Eastern Pike. So how did the TVC teams get over seeded? They were just better. In 09 Oak Hill, Southern, Eastern and Waterford advanced. Oak Hill was the #1 seed, so how was the TVC over seeded? Bottom line the best teams will advance no matter where they are seeded at. Eastern Dspy who in the TVC got over seeded last Year?
2010
(1) Eastern Meigs 15-1
(2) Eastern Pike 14-2
(3) Southern 12-4
(4) Trimble 10-7
(5) Symmes Valley 10-5
(6) South Gallia 7-9
(7) Waterford 4-11
(8) St. Joes 4-11
(9) Miller 1-16

1-Manchester
2-South webster
3-Green
4-Clay
5-Fairfield
6-Notre Dame
7-White oak
8-New boston
9-East
10-Western

I don't see how anyone could argue this based on records. This should be the way it is.

Who in this world has ND beat and who have they lost to?

Whiteoak's worst loss is to a 7 win D3 team.....they have beaten Manchester by 14, played Peebles neck and neck twice, took D2 over .500 Hillsboro to OT, took D3 Oak Hill to the Final Buzzer, beat Fairfield

Let me guess Notre Dame has the majority of it's wins against New Boston, East and Western?

Sorry my friend but at least they will get to destroy the #10 seed before playing Manchester (#2). This brings me back to my comment about playing two SOC 1 teams every year. The argument about gate money is stupid - would you rather win Sectional Titles or make an extra $2000 from gate money.

Gate money?

My arguement is the long trip and it doesn't prepare you for the tourney.....but that point goes out the window a touch if you get ripped off in the seeding most years because you don't play nearly the number of cupcakes. I was initially arguing why it was not a bad idea for NB to play in the LC tourney.....for NB. I still believe WO and FF should continue to play who they do.

Maybe there is a good reason why Whiteoak plays the super talented, 1 loss D3 Peebles team so well?

Playing Green, Clay or whoever from the SOC won't do anything whatsoever for tourney draws....it'll still be 6 vs 3...regardless.

Maybe you could switch up Marietta and Fort Frye, their battling for the #1 spot, but the other picks, I'm 100% sure about.

Is this meant as a joke or do just not know what you are talking about? You got teams from multiple states and divisions in that group.
