That'd be Javon Thompson and he is only a sophomore. He's gotten better over the past year. He is really good at distributing the ball, and has a pass first mentality. He can knock down the jumper too if he's open. He and Patrick are really good at working the ball up the court defensively.

Defense has been one of the main reason's for the Peake's success this season. Javon keeps improving game by game.

Chesapeake has to play a good game, but as does Garaway... It'll be interesting to watch because Garaway slows down the pace and the score of their games are in the 50's as compared to Chesapeake who likes to push the tempo and averages in the 70's. I think the peake will win this game 66-57

Garaway would rather keep the game in the 30's, not the 50's.

They will try and impose their gameplan, and if they do Chesapeake will get very frustrated and it could spell disaster.

In 2001, Chesapeake played Garaway in the regional semi's, and from a talent standpoint had no place being on the same floor. Then the perfect storm happened and they basically wore Chesapeake out and beat them up. They slowed it way down, didn't hurt themselves, took care of the basketball, didn't settle for anything but a layup, and they play defense a lot like Duke. If you are out of control at any point they are ready to take a charge. In that 2001 game Delimpo and Best both had 3 fouls by the second quarter and it was game over basically.

Chesapeake needs to take advantage of their ability to run the floor and their length on the defensive side of the ball. I think this is a very different Chesapeake squad then the 2001 team, and they will win this thing as long as the big 3 stay out of foul trouble.

Chesapeake 60
Garaway 50

Peake, 2001 was not Garaway. The two teams did not play until last year. I believe it was Pleasant. Not sure, but peake missed 20 layups that night and did get in foul trouble. This year team has no weakness. They seem to be solid at every spot. Reminds me of the MILLER, SPRADLIN teams that Burg had that went to columbus back to back times.

Grayaway has the upperhand in this matchup. Tougher schedule and more post season experience (under current coach). way i see it, Garyway will win by 15. GO HERD!!!!!

Tougher schedual? IDK. Columbus Afrecentric sweet 16 (Still playing) , Logan WV #1 team in WV (still playing) , Ironton district semis, Wheelersburg Sweet 16 (stll playing), 2 or 3 other WV schools that were twice or three times the size as Chesapeake the schedual wasnt that easy. More post season experience under current coach? That makes no sense. This group at Peake has had the same coach for 4yrs. His 1st year was this years seniors freshman year so its exactly the same if you think about it b/c both teams seniors have been playing for the same coach for 4year. And Peake just made it to the Final 4 a year ago. So i think your argument has a good bit of flaws in it sorry!

If Chesapeake loses, it will not be by double digits! Chesapeake can win by double digits, if Garaway were to win, it'll be less than 4 points.
