It has taken Ironton longer to hire a coach than iT did UCLA

Are you suggesting that Rick Barnes has also turned down Ironton?

I've heard this as well, he left Eastern just as the cupboard was about to be bare for awhile. We'll see what happens if Fitch and Barrick applied they'll have some good guys to choose from it sounds like.

Wonder if Fitch would be in play for Eastern if he doesn't get Ironton job?*

Ironton can't go wrong with either Fitch or Barrick, honestly. Both are fantastic choices if they decide to go that route.

art_vandelay, I'm betting that won't happen. Seemed to be some bad blood with how it ended last time, I'd say the chance of Fitch even pursuing it is less than 1%.... but what do I know!

Just asking ? Was Barrick a teacher or AD, or both while at Pike Eastern ?

It sounds like it's back to the drawing board in Tigertown.

Ssems like Barrick nor Fitch want the job if they are back to the drawing board. I wonder if they would take other applicants if they applied

From all the time its taking to hire a coach its one of 2 things. They cant decide who to hire or no one with experience wants the job..

Well dial a young coach up and let them go, this isn’t Chino Hills.

That's the problem with some administrators, they want the "perfect" candidate instead of the "right" one.

It took three times for them to get the football job right, hiring Midlands coach, offering it to Greenup's coach, before finally settling from Pendleton. It's worked out so far for them.

I would think the perfect coach would be the righr coach. Its a shame that theres not a list of good coaches to pick from. Maybe they should check back with some of the older or past coaches. You never know. One of them could be interested

This is not the way Ironton wants to go with this taking so much time. School will be out in a few weeks and the right coach need an agenda for the summer.
